The NFL Has a Never Ending Problem

Aaron Rodgers is NOT the Jets' Biggest Problem & How They Can Fix it

Assigning blame for the Jets disaster of a season and outlining how they can fix it. Blaming one person entirely is lazy work. Assuming Aaron Rodgers is the GM and coach of an NFL franchise is also lazy. There's a lot of moving parts.

Nice video dude, keep em coming.
Keep pounding 👑 BRYCE!!
Sacks are a terrible stat for edge rushers, there are much better ones to use. And if ur only argument for TJ is sacks u may be trippin
Did you watch the video? It wasn't my only argument. Also anyone who says sacks are a bad stat for edge rushers is tripping, and that's not me
Did you say London? Wrong. It was Munich, Germany.
@@henrim9348 Crap you're right. Thanks for catching that!
@thepocketpasser All good. Great content. Keep it coming
@ Thanks I appreciate it!
Great Break down! things are looking up for Bryce, he's gotten better and better over the last 4 games. Now, we just need to see if he can keep it up.
I couldn't be happier for him, honestly the dude has been hit from all angles since coming into the league. Hopefully he's not traded, bc that would be so stupid but par for the course in panthers tradition
If he keeps playing well I'd imagine they'll rally around him
Bryce we see you 💯👏
Great fair video. Tj is on another level but Myles is great as well.
WhoDat!
Passing yards are a great measurement until there is the inevitable interception thrown into the end zone. That's why interception numbers also matter.
I agree they matter. I just don't think they should've ruled Josh out of MVP the way they did
Yall gotta let last year go Josh Allen wasn’t even 2nd in voting. 49/50 voters voted him number one. Stop crying over last year. Your UA-cam title shows your bias.
How am I biased when I literally said Lamar should be the MVP this year? Also my YT channel is called the Pocket Passer bc I was slow and didn't leave the pocket when I played. No bias here.
Is the mvp just for quarterbacks? How many other player are cheated out of the mvp race because we only give it to the quarterbacks? So we can’t complain about it being unfair when we completely overlook or expect SOOOOO much from other player to get the mvp
I don't see this as a 'problem'. Trends change...maybe in 10 years a pocket passer will show up that just never misses...or one that can throw 90 yard TDs every week. Running QBs are here to stay...but the need to chuck it down field will never die.
Most hated coach, yet he has one of the best records of any coach since being hired.
As a Ravens fan, I think Lamar should have gotten it last year and Josh should probably get it this year. Personally, i think you're looking too much into stats. Part of the "value" is how good the team would be without you. Bills had Diggs and Gabe Davis last year, James cook at RB and Josh still making a ton of turnovers to cost his team games Lamar didn't have a #1 receiver last year, and lost JK dobbins for the season. With the ravens being 14-3 and Lamar blowing out teams, they sat Lamar a lot of 4th quarters and week 18. Lamar would also drive the ravens down the field, only for Gus Edwards to just punch it in from the 1 or 2 yard line. Lamar's stats don't accurately affect his value from last year in my opinion. We also saw how bad the ravens we in 2021 and 2022 without Lamar at the end of the season due to injury, and that was probably a factor is showing his value. If MVP wasnt a QB award, i would have been fine with CMC or Tyreek getting it. Dak lost most of their big games, so hes out. Lamar was excellent against great opponents last year, which is also a factor too This year is different where Josh lost Diggs and most of their defensive leaders, and they have a better record than the ravens. Ravens got derrick henry, which takes away from Lamars MVP candidacy. Personally i think Lamar is the Best player this year and Josh is currently the MVP
Bro what. 😂😂 Lamar gets both
the dude is 35 years old.
Not only is that comment about paying Jones to hand off to an RB stupid, you know how people sometimes give away how their thinking works by what they *don't* say? This is an example of them doing it with what they did. Would you say this about Pat Mahomes? You wouldn't _need_ to. That's just it. This is a defensive comment. Someone is trying to justify to Everyone Else something they failed to justify to themselves.
@@ChewsCarefully That's honestly a really good point. "Everyone else needs to validate my mistake" kind of mentality
@@ChewsCarefully It's good to see you back in the comment section. How've you been?
The Bills are 9-2. Replace Josh Allen with pretty much anybody and they are 6-5. Replace Lamar Jackson with a decent QB, Ravens have the same record. Allen is more valuable than Jackson.
Last season it was said Ravens won't make the playoffs because of changes. They ended with the first seed.
Last year in the last 5 games of the year Lamar beat everyone who was in the race for MVP …he outshined every other contender…This year it’s not even a debate !
I don't remember the Ravens playing the Bills last year, but sure, go ahead with the Lamar delusion
@ a lot of y’all just talking …is everyone forgetting last year the Bills as a team was underperforming similar to the Bengals this year …it took them the last game of the year to make it into the playoffs …at least of their early losses was due to a BAD int by Allen but I’m sure y’all don’t remember 🤔
@@joemomma8573 The only ones he did'n't play were the Bills, but continue pretending that made all the difference.
Why do people forget Allen lost his teams games
Tua had what 29 TD and 14 INT. Unless he had some rushing TDs his stats are the same as Jackson but with more INT. He also had Hill who was the best player on the team on pace for 2000 yards at one point. Prescott is known for garbage stat padding. Even mentioning him makes no sense. His stats vs the Packers in the playoffs look good but watch the game and he was awful. Allen got a different OC midway through the season. What did that OC do? Take the ball out of Allen hands and give it to their RB. Ignoring the INTs Allen didn’t deserve it solely because of that. They literally beat the Cowboys with him doing very little. CMC maybe had a case but like Hill so did his QB. Jackson played both CMC and Hill in back to back weeks and looked better than both and their QBs. I’m not saying Jackson had some great season but in a season no one was particularly great he ended up with it. Outside of maybe CJ stroud whose numbers were comparable to Jackson no one else was more valuable to their team. Jackson lead his team in rushing and gave the ball to his RB for easy scores. How many of Edwards 13 TD were like a yards out?
@@billywilliams8378 This is a solid counter point. I was going off the top of my head when I mentioned Tua I agree he wasn't a candidate. Dak's playoff performance has nothing to do with MVP, it's a regular season award. I agree he stunk in the playoff game. The new OC for the Bills did reduce how much they relied on Allen but Allen was still carrying with the exception of the Cowboys game. That game did really hurt his argument for MVP. I still think Josh, Dak, and CMC were better candidates but it's also possible I should be giving Lamar a little more credit.
@ I give the Packers game as an example as it’s one of the few Cowboys games I watched last year but his stats looked decent in it. Most Cowboys games I watch it’s the same even this year with Dak vs the Ravens. The team is getting beat and 4th Q he starts playing well vs soft coverage. Or they just get crushed like vs the Bills. Allen literally lost to the Jets because of his INT. The Cowboys was an extreme example as he was basically a by standard as the Cowboys couldn’t stop the run at all. But the change in coordinator to me removed Josh from the MVP conversation. Jackson had a new coordinator but the team still ran (literally and figuratively) through Jackson. He was the Ravens leading rusher again and has been until 2024. Maybe CMC but we all know it’s mainly a QB award so unless CMC does something record breaking he is unlikely to get it. Same with Hill. Stroud took a bottom 2 team to the playoffs so truthfully I think he should have gotten some votes.
@ You make good arguments. The Cowboys were actually good last year tho (in the regular season) and Dak lead the league in TD passes and was very high in yards. Josh definitely had bad games but aside from the Cowboys game the offense ran through him almost entirely. Lead the league in TDs, the only real knock on Josh was the amount of turnovers (which is fair) but I still think his production was dramatically better than the rest of the league.
You could also bring up that Jackson had costly TOs in the games the Ravens lost.
@@gbrow1604 Yes but so did Josh Allen. So I'm not sure that example holds a ton of weight.
Who cares about MVP? Bring home the Lombardi Trophy! Go Bills!
Oh my God u can't be bills fan usual bills and ravens fans go at like subzero and scorpion about Lamar Jackson josh Allen mvp debate U can't SHUT THE F*CK about it so finally somebody that's not b*tching 👏👏👏👏👏 the goal for every bills fan in Ravens fans should be in Lombardi Lombardi Lombardi Lombardi not no punk a** regular season MVP
The nfl hopped on the narrative bandwagon last year. Once you get on it, it’s tough to get off because the underlying mentality that got you on it will leave you feeling “this guy needs it this year because if x narrative”. NBA did it with embid and the next year luka probably should have won it but they gave it to joker. You have to rip the band aid off and swear off narratives.
Exactly! The stories are cool but a good story doesn't make a good candidate.
Great insight my dude. First time seeing ur stuff. Impressive, u have earned my subscription! Keep it up young fella!
@@jgramirez87 Thank you! I appreciate it!
You're kidding? Right?
Only problem with using him too much is he gets hurt.
agreed
49/50 disagree
I do sort of wanna add on to this that record is important here as well when your team is winning big important games and you are a big part of that you should absolutely be in the conversation
I agree, are you referring to someone in specific?
@ Not really we'll see at the end of the season who really won the big games for his team i could even see something like a joe burrow mvp if they somehow manage to win out the rest of the year
@@malayus7155 If the Bengals win out and make the playoffs I think Joe Burrow 100% should win MVP. He's been incredible, team just has to win.
@ Yeah 100% but i still think them winning out is very unlikely
@ Yea it's definitely a big if.
Will Levis or Jameis Winston should get MVP this year. I would say they provide more content for their team than any other QB
Man don't know ball
He dont know even less😳
No man Allen accounts for 85% of all team TDs unlike every other QB in the league. The Bills are the most dependent on their QB making him mvp.
Lamar is better though
Throws 18 pics- should’ve been MVP. Stop
Who do you think should have been MVP?
@@thepocketpasser lamar jackson
@@despy9600he threw 24 touchdowns. Ravens won a lot of games because they had the #1 defense.
But every where in Michigan the chant is Jared golf so.... Jared golf is our MVP... Lions fan since 1984
Jared Goff is definitely the Lions MVP. I just think the argument for league MVP is difficult right now. He could definitely play himself back into it though, plenty of time.
Big games who would u have Lamar choked Josh Allen 💪
I agree Josh is the better QB. I just think Lamar still has a better case for MVP right now this season
On the 2nd play I broke down the line of scrimmage was the 31 so I could not have been more wrong about lineman being close to down field😂
The title of the video sounds like an opinion , and a bad one. The main problem is Taylor rather we like him or not. Play calling , clock management, he’s lost the locker room , players calling him out , not being aggressive on and off the field. The list goes on.
The front office is the Bengal's biggest problem. It will continue to be a problem after Taylor is gone unless they hire a truly exceptional coach (easier said than done) and fix their offensive line and defensive line.
@ oh we all know the front office is a problem , and the biggest problem, but on field , in playing time , Zac Taylor is the biggest problem they have , or I can settle for just saying it’s a coaching problem all the way around. I have no clue why it took this staff that damn long to bench Cam Taylor Britt. From play calling to player management is ridiculous.
@ that's a fair point
I'm a 48 yr fan and the NY Giants are now a full blown clown show. They believe the fans are dumb and will shovel out their money for Tommy, without the booing. The GM and HC make stupid mistakes, time and time again. Fire them all. Make ownership earn your $$ with a good product!!
I don’t the Daboll is that bad but Shoen is a disaster. You have to be able to acquire a good offensive line, and he can’t
Zac Taylor’s game management is atrocious even if you agree with his play calling. When your top 2 players are calling out the HC in the media, albeit indirectly, there is a major problem.
@@bengalsbowlbound3137 I was not aware they called him out. I’ll have to look at that. I’m not saying Zac is a great coach, I’d trade him in for Vrabel, Belichick, Ben Johnson in a heart beat. But I do think the criticism he’s receiving this year is a little overblown and a lot of things have gone poorly that are out of his control
This season just hasn't gone the Bengals way. A little luck here and there and the team is 9-2. Can't blow it up. That's what the Browns do.
Regardless, Daboll 🗑
Maybe. I liked Daboll when they hired him and he’s in a pretty horrid situation, maybe they can get this turned around
You think that the guy whop _got_ into and won one game in the playoffs with Daboll & went 3-3 with De Vito is _sewage?_ What coach do you think could have outdone this?
This is the front office that kept Marvin Lewis around for 15 years because he made the playoffs sometimes. They are not firing a head coach who took them to a Super Bowl and 2 AFCCGs. Also, this front office has the worst/smallest scouting & analytics department in the league. They don't pay stars on defense. The front office has final say in draft picks and won't pay to fill the gaps they create in free agency. What head coach better than Zac Taylor would take this job anyway? I'm a lifelong Bengals fan, but I just don't have any faith they'll make the changes needed to stay a competitive with the top teams.
This is about as accurate an assessment of the Bengals as there is. Management is an embarrassment
@@thepocketpasser Happy to come on and talk about it sometime :)
If they offered a decent contract, many great HCs would want this job. The chance to work with Joe Burrow as your QB is career changing and potentially gives you the chance to create a dynasty.
Put in Danny DeVito
I don’t blame zac either. He has been getting better in my opinion. Early season I thought he was playing too conservatively, now he’s been going for it on 4th downs and passing a lot more. Bengals just need to finish games, it’s always one little mistake that leads to the losses. But I think the bengals have a real chance to win out the rest of the season, and if the chiefs and chargers beat the broncos, and the broncos and lions beat the colts, bengals make playoffs. Also we need some front office changes so we can pay tee, Hendrickson, and Chase because we will need them long term
Tee is almost definitely not coming back. I agree a playoff push is definitely still possible, but they’ve still got the Steelers twice so that’s gonna be real tough
We fell just short tho
Does Zac Taylor need to be fired? Comment your thoughts on the situation!
Who is your favorite to win MVP? Let me hear what you guys think!
He's hated because the birds utterly collapsed last season and got off to a bad start, losing in a very similar fashion this season. Then he was cursing out fans after they beat the browns. He should always have humility, even in Philly.
Eagles are an over hated team
Can't be overated when u are the most winning est coach in the league over 3 years minus Andy Reid
Andy Reid winning percent is only like 61% while Nick is almost 70%. I think most eagles fans had this way too high expectation of the eagles that anything less than perfect is bad and should be fired.
Math is hard! Don’t be too hard on yourself😂😂
