With only 2 weeks left, the end of season and our departure are looming. October has brought our first autumn storm, birthday celebrations (including a birthday bath!), plenty more sea swims and autumn migrants. Life on the Calf has generally slowed though. Just as nature prepares for winter, so do we.

More time has passed on the Calf of Man. It feels very wintery here now, the weather has really started to turn. Autumn migration has been slow for this reason and we too, try to take a slower pace when we can. Enjoying the simple things and nature. Estate work continues but as the end of the season draws ever closer, we now start to think tying up jobs and finishing projects. I hope you enjoy....

Autumn is here without summer arriving! Movements of birds have been slow due to the poor weather but we have had good numbers of raptors and gulls. Estate work continues and we are prioritising jobs to get done before the end of the season.
