Thank you for sharing this! As an Eastern Orthodox, I appreciate that some publishers release just the Deuterocanon as a standalone book. I hadn’t realized Cambridge did this for the NRSVue Deuterocanon. Unfortunately, this Cambridge edition is around $20, while Hendrickson offers the complete NRSVue with the Deuterocanon as a sewn hardcover Pew Bible for $15.

What does "Popular Text" mean? Is it some compromise or does mean added the missing critical text. Cambridge are very very lacking on information. They just number name with zero details on what XA, TA etc mean. I have figured out the A is for Apocrypha and R might mean reference or read letter, but what about X? What about text/font size? Do they really expect us to pay £100+ to find out the text is too small for ageing eyes. Are all versions 9 point text size as this one is? Sorry, I am very frustrated with Cambridge lack of information on these things, both on their website and online. I need 10 point or larger text.

RSV is not a Catholic bible... Divine mercy was condemned in 1959. These are tricks of the false Vatican 2 church. Stick with the Douay Rheims Sacred Scriptures which has Catholic annotations.

I think the review was very well presented, but with the lack of detail error, it was kindly corrected by yourself. Apart from that, it's a very useful review in the upcoming publication of this NRSVue with Apocrypha British Text. I thought the mention of the reader in content of bible by the Institute could have been compared apit more detail with the NRSV Anglicised version such as British text, for instance. Questions I have are that the NRSV uv and the Anglicised version have been updated from the 1989 edition (Preface/Reader by the publishers. Are there any big differences? But overall, I was very pleased with this review and kinda surprised I came across it while seeking an update review on the bible edition as there are a limited few available. So thank you.😊 Ps. Does the NRSVue with apocrypha british text Popular Split Calfskin cambridge come within content MAPS?

Excellent video! My wife is a Roman Catholic from Cebu City, Philippines. The Ascension Catechism of the Catholic Church is not just a beautifully bound edition of the Catechism, gives easy access to the teaching in the Catechism. I use this edition along with the Didache Catholic Study Bible in the RSVCE Catholic translation, which has articles and notes keyed to the CCC. Unless one has a busy schedule, one could read both the Bible and the CCC through in one year as part of one's daily devotions.

Too bad Catholics tend to use Tyndale-King James bible translations, which are protestant bibles instead of a Catholic translation. Make no mistake, tacking Catholic Edition (CE) at the end of the translation name does not take away the fact that the RSV, NRSV, etc. are protestant translations based on the King James translation.

I would love to see Ascension apply these concepts with other translations. I’m not a RSV fan and I think many would benefit from various editions.

Very nice video. Nothing very special about this bible but they are asking a premium price for it. Black and White maps.... I'll pass and save my money. I was hoping this was going to be an extraordinary Bible to own (for the price it should be) but alas it is not.

Is there a way to find how to write to ( snail-mail) or e-mail Holman publishers? I do NOT like the CSB- it is NOT an improvement to the Holman Bible translation- and wish there was a way to see a list of the differences between the editions and revision of the Holman Bible translation.
