Nice looking fan but avoid it like a plague. Three of us who are very experienced contractors worked for several hours trying to decipher the terrible instructions and install this fan today. I have never seen a fan so disassembled and difficult to put together. Also, the remote control was missing. It's still not installed yet. Come on Honeywell, you can do better than this.

It is not intuitive on how the batteries go in at all -- no instructions on the unit or with it. Batteries don't fit well. Cap doesn't close well. This video is terrible, since it does not show how to fit the batteries in when it should. Bad anticipation of the customer experience. --After some trial and error, I discovered the best way it is to use one column of the two for two D cells one on top of the other; one column worked for me; the other did not; try both; put the flat end of the batteries down first with the nipple up; it takes a lot of trial and error to get the lid to screw on, because the connection is unclear and unmarked on the parts.
