Abrams weigh 74 tons, and UP flatcars are rated at 101 tons max load. How does a single flatcar hold 2 Abrams and stay under the 143 ton max allowable weight for a single car? Do they just ignore the rules bc military? That could tear up some tracks. Curious. Maybe the tanks are not fully assembled to their combat weight until they are off the train.

I’ve never seen a dash 8 specifically and I’ve always heard they’re a favorite of some sort, it really is a smart looking locomotive for passenger duties when typical passenger diesels are more streamlined. Good ol’ cabbage getting some sunlight and time on on the rails is always nice to see.

Very VERY nice model. But if I were to nitpick something, it’d be that this engine has the wrong bell sound, as the Dash 8s have a slightly lower tone bell sound
