@@sethcolflesh You're most welcome! I get where you're coming from, and there's not much else I can add to it. I hope that Superliminal's experience has been of good effect for many people throughout. On the front of the wonder, the curiosity, the creepiness and looking at things from a different angle. I've *definitely* played Psychonauts 2 and very much loved it. Stylistically a bit of dark edge was lost alongside that residual point-and-click-adventure puzzle part of the identity (the stuff you can pull from the backpack/inventory), and the new intern characters don't have as strong a presence as the campers. But the gameplay's still as good as ever and the S T O R Y especially. Strong wordplay, strong themes, good script, humor and voice acting. I very, very warmly recommend Clash: AoC. It's a prequel to the Zeno Clash series by ACE Team (who also made the likes of The Eternal Cylinder and Rock of Ages). A fascinating and unique world with influences from medieval monster art, such as Hieronymus Bosch's paintings and the Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel woodcuts, alongside lesser known prehistoric mammals. And there's more to it too. Proper humans are rare-- everyone's an absolute freak, chimera, abomination, or simply very, very ugly or caricatural. There's not really a central culture or authority (in the numbered games at least), or even written language or currency. People just slap whatever they like onto themselves and if you got a problem with someone you just beat them up. The game series is fascinatingly bizarre and Artifacts of Chaos has the most striking art style of them all. Best music and writing of them all too. It's also unusual from the mainline games in that, instead of first-person beat-em-up combat, it'ss got an over-the-shoulder camera. Still beat-em-up gameplay but this time you can find different martial arts styles to assign to your character and make your own fighting style with. Starting out with the all-rounder Boxing, the wide sweeping Slash stance and the long-range, focused Spear Stance. All stances have their own full unique animation movesets, but the inputs are not difficult. The main character also looks like a weirdly-haired sore, nail-less grumpy thumb on a gnarly human-shaped carrot for a body. One of my favourite game protagonists in recent years. I hope i've gotten your interest with this description. Other games I could recommend would be No Straight Roads, Soulstice, Cookie Cutter, Zet Zillions and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile. There's many more I could mention. Would you mind if I left a list of various games? Mainly upcoming ones.

I'm super excited to dive into psychoanuts 2 I think I'm gonna play it before the year is up and might make a video talking about it and the first one more in depth we'll see. I tell myself I'm gonna play a game then never do xD lol. I wish listed Clash on steam because you are right about this game. It seems right up my alley and holds a lot of things I've always loved about gaming. If I get around to playing it you can be sure I'll talk about it in some form on this channel. From just looking at it I already really like the art style. So thank you for this recommendation it's something I could actually see myself enjoying. On the topic of the few games you also recommended me at the end I never would have found these games or looked at them beyond this comment which is a shame because a lot of these look really cool. I should be more gracious towards games when scrolling through steam and not judging them by their cover. You have a a really awesome taste in games. I wish listed those as well I'm thinking of starting with No Straight Roads after Clash that game looked super cool. Don't worry, you'll still have about five, five-and-a-half months to play it-- *rips various pages off your calendar* oh dear, the year just flew past, didn't it? A more in-depth video would be neat. Very glad that Clash is looking up your alley! The same devs, ACE Team, have also made The Eternal Cylinder. They have a wondrous sense of making colorful, if harsh worlds inhabited by all manner of fascinating horrors and monsters. Would be looking forward to seeing a video on Clash, it very much deserves more attention than it has gotten so far. Hope you'll enjoy it a lot when you get to it! Hah, there's more games I can recommend too, will be certain to leave them in a short list :P It's actually not the Steam page through which i discovered them, but getting lucky with getting "indie releases of the month" videos recommended to me and the like. Channels like those of Alpha Beta Gamer made me discover Cookie Cutter back during its demo from over... two years ago, and i'm glad i've stuck with it ever since. And granted, i tend to be a bit superficial too in judging stuff by their cover. For better or worse :P No Straight Roads is a pretty short game, only about six or seven hours. Mainly boss-centric and some have found the story, characters and presentation to be much better than the game itself, though as it is, it's not bad. Dearly love that game. You're most welcome, i'm glad that these discoveries have been neat! I'll keep my eye on your channel. Which made stuff like Fe, Stick It to the Man, Lost in Random) are cooking up - Promise Mascot Agency - Bad Boro - Loco Motive - Near-Mage - The Mermaid Mask - Resistor - The Dungeon Experience - Judero - Genokids - Enenra Demon Core - Gori: Cuddly Carnage - Yasuke: A Lost Descendant - Kings of Hell (warning, this is a spicy ones. 3D beat-em-up with a partial Wrestling angle. So lots of cartoonish demon dudes in thongs with prominent wrapped eggplants. Not my preferred tone, but people seem positive on the gameplay, though.) Hope that likewise these titles will be interesting whenever you may look into them!
