Remco is a generational, phenom talent. Saying that "he" harmed cycling is not only an unnecessarily gratuitous smear, but misses that generational talents just don't fit the mold of whatever system is in place. If such talents upset the system, so be it Most of the pro peloton other than folks named Tadej, Jonas, and Primoz, are not and will never be at Remco's level.

It’s NOT faster. It may be perceived more “comfortable”, but it is absolutely NOT faster. There IS more roll and aero resistance with wider tires at lower pressures. On the alternate, high pressures can be problematic for traction/surface contact, but physics is not changed just because the tyre, wheel, frame, groupo companies want to sell you something different.

LeMond is what we in my New York Italian neighborhood call a “Snitch”. He is a dirtbag. It is appalling that he, who enhanced his performance, can spew vitriolic comments about a much better cyclist. His justification for cheating is that he had medical clearance because of his shooting injuries.

I always suspected Armstrong was on something because he would always separate himself from the rest of the pack during the most difficult leg of the race when they hit the mountains. At work, we used to question how is it that he could be that much better than everyone else at that point?

In my opinion, Remco didn't harm cycling. Accountability lies more with the people identifying talent and giving riders opportunities. Sounds like they have lost a degree of peripheral vision.

Most of the riders coming up through the respective systems don't have exceptional talent compared to the pro peloton. Of course, compared to the public at large or the average amateur race, they are all incredibly talented of they wouldn't make it to system.

LeMond got me to start watching TdF. I adjusted my vacation to allow me to be glued to the TV. Armstrong got me to stop wanting to watch TdF.

Just here to remind everyone that the sports official governing body encouraged LA to cheat, falsified LA's doping results for 3 years, Lance continued to win post doping for several more competitions, his cheating was entirely historic and he'd won many events without doping, and they never actually proved he had ever doped. They never, ever produced a positive test. It was entirely based on testimony. The sport has been proven to have covered it up, encouraged it, and covered up not only his doping, but a dozen other cyclists. Every other competitive cyclist at the time was doping. Everyone Lance competed against was cheating. They were all cheats. Pretending it was just him is dumb, when dozens of books have provided evidence to show it was a widespread and essentially legalised practice as the governing body outright refused to ever convict anyone of it. Lance was a political target, that's it. People tried to get money out of him, couldn't, and so ruined his career, despite the fact many others were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. Not one other person was convicted, despite there being just as much evidence they cheated.

Don't stop there with tart cherry and beetroot juice go all the way with a whole food plant based lifestyle.First eliminate all of the processed foods and you will see improved health and performance and live longer.

If they are all cheating, then no one is cheating.
