I played Quake 2 with the grappling hook. xs4all server late 90s/early 2000s.
I used to play "cowardly" like this to beat better players than me, but this guy doesn't seem to shoot much, didn't seem necessary to be so avoidant and agitated
anyone knows what pak files and assets are those... looks and sounds so cool ;d almost like how q3 should have been lookking, ifit would have slightly more crisper textures :D

How do the textures look so detailed? They are the original textures. Engine magic? Did someone upscale them using AI?
Damn. It was close there at the end.
This video uses both original upscaled (AI) textures and non-original upscaled textures. If you need these files, you can download my Q2 assembly (or textures pack) from the link in the channel description.

This is a build of what I personally like. Client q2pro. But you can also use r1q2. You can download the build from the link in the channel description.
@@quake2videos Is there any way to have the weapons back to their original colors? Rail it's default color, shotgun handle green, etc.? :)
@@LowHzGod You can use the default models instead of these, or any other ones at all. Luckily, Quake2 allows you to do this (also one of the reasons why I like this game).

а как инверсию мыши поменять? что то я в меню не найду
насчет меню не знаю, а в конфиге или просто в консоли для инвертирования мыши нужно поставить отрицательные значения m_pitch (тангаж, например -0.022) и m_yaw (рыскание)
