There is a hub attached to the axle via a set screw. The wheels are secured to the hub via a snap ring. Both are from banebots if you are looking for more info

In most cases no, depending on how well the car is built. No the motor does not have an inline attachment option

I would recommend re watching the calibration video on the instructions page. In essence, you need to wrap some of the silicone tape around the front left wheel. The more you add, the less it will turn left.

The rubber band is not used to propel the vehicle and is at a zero energy state at the beginning of the run, which is legal in the rules. The rubber band is used to slow the vehicle down before stopping

In the ball park of $120, the majority of which coming from the banebot wheels/hubs and the motor without including 3D parts/instructions. Using cheaper wheels/motors can save you ~$60.

There is no wing nut system. Braking is controlled through a motor/encoder system. The encoder tracks the vehicles position on the track during the run, and the motor stops the vehicle at an encoder value corresponding to the target distance

It’s a 2200 rpm gear motor.

It is a laser module

No the vehicle can also curve. You can see during the run in the video that there is some balloons/silicone tape over the left wheel. Adding/removing these balloons/tape can change the vehicle’s steering

No. The kit includes the build instructions, code, list of materials used with links to each, a guide on calibrating the vehicle, and the 3d models for all 3d printed parts used to make the vehicle.
