This week is cool and rainy compared to the last few weeks! Heavy wind and a bit of rain over the weekend stall out the beginning of harvest. Moisture comes too late to help most dryland crops but may help with seed development in many canola fields. Lygus numbers start to rise in some canola fields but with ripening beginning in many fields they may only be a risk to the greenest fields.

That wind was wild. We no tilled canola on canola stubble and was out of the ground may 31 so under a week and just completely sandblasted the whole field. We spiked it that day to save the top soil since it was a write off and got it all tilled and had it seeded to barley this afternoon

I never want to hear any more crap about ag-pilots not being allowed to take up a passenger in a 2-seater ag-plane. This proves it can be legally done!!! To hell with Part 137!!! Do you know the brand and hybrid of the 80 bushel canola. We grew some L252 this year and had lots of pod shatter when we swathed and lots lots of yield. So might try dk99, brett young 6211, 6217 or might try canterra 3000 or 3100. My dad talked to harv when he bought some chemical the one day he said there was some nice crops of those varieties
