The CORRECT DIMEBAG TUNING! (D 425hz!)
Переглядів 20 тис.Рік тому
This is the tuning that Dimebag used whilst in D Standard. You can achieve this on the Fender Tune App by linking an account with your email and using the Pro Tuner to change Hertz. If you are curious about other tunings or whatever ask for them and you shall receive! Might start posting again, I think I’ve got the itch. (In my pants, I have an STD)
Can you please share all the patches used
sick, the clean and the lead tone is on point
could do with some work for the solo bro but okay tone
That guitar tone definitely has a lot of power and hits like a truck it’s so good🤘🏼❤️🔥
yo this incredible, can you share your Tone Patch?? i really need the tone patch 😭
Clean or distorted?
@@BBlair88733 i need both 😭
@@BBlair88733 I need it too please!! I need distored
DAMN that sounds so good wtf, and you did it with a boss Katana!!!
good tone bro , i saw you use a mic , how much difference does it make in quality of tone ?
Didn’t see your comment don’t know why it didn’t show up lol, but I notice it adds a slight hiss to my tone, so I have to slightly remove higher frequencies, but due to the fact that the Katana doesn’t come with straight Line Out compatibility, I use the microphone anyway.
@@BBlair88733 alright , and btw what’s your mic placement or what do you recommend ? I’m not really sure since I’m new with mic stuff thanks
Mines level with the cone, but then slightly moved to the right
the compression sounds way too strong when power chords are being played, it gets really quiet
how many layers?
yo bro i got a question , what does removing db from a track help with in shaping the one ?
For me personally, it helps balance the volume overall, if I have a riff that doesn’t require all tracks, but later they all come in playing it, the volume is gonna be way boosted, by decreasing the volume, it kind of makes the extra tracks sound passive, and doesn’t do anything for me personally except at more sound range to the track. Thanks for the question.
which app is this??? (its free?
Fender Tune
Thanks😊
I always thought Sad But True was wasted as a Metallica song. Such a killer riff (and tone) that wasn't mixed very well in my opinion. Lars' boring drumming doesn't help either. This is super sick though. Sounds like a Crowbar/Far Beyond Driven Pantera
nope
Pantera vibes
Reminds me of To Live Is to Die for some reason
Dean "Dimebag " Darrell, Pantera lead guitarist 😮 , He was shot twice on stage by a schizophrenia man hearing voices. Dead, R.I.P. bro
good job
I think you should narrow the guitars a little, maybe 80 to 60% on each side, it sounds a little too wide imo
For some reason, UA-cam likes to compress the audio and make it quieter, but thanks for the input I’ll keep that in mind.
multitracking =/= heavier
Metallica did it using some amount of guitars to make the song heavier :)
I multitracked and tuned down, crushing.
Of course they multitrack. As part of music production you need at least 2 tracks to not sound potato. Everyone knows Metallica 3 tracked (RCL) their guitars. The more tracks you add, the denser your tone becomes, yes, but as it gains in thickness it looses articulation. If you want an articulated sound you have to play very accurate, or postprocess slide every attack onto each other, but then it looses dynamics. This is where the most modern Metal sounds over produced and not heavy anymore. For me 3 tracks is just right. I pan L66%, C and R66%. The center track is completely optional only for Lead not for doubling. It's not just my arrogant opinion, it's my personal preference and conclusion, wich no one asked for :) but i tried and failed a lot with multitracking and heavy downtuned guitars the last 20 yrs.
I’m glad your advice can help someone like me who’s just starting out recording multitracked guitar. Thanks.
@@antares4975 I don't know, five guitars, 100L 75L C 75R 100R has been goated for me
That’s hard 🔥
Skill issue
What was the EQ for this tone?
What gauge strings you got on?
DR Tite-Fit Compression 9-42.
Vulgar has one of the best guitar tones to ever "walk" this earth.
I see what you did there. It’s either that, or Far Beyond Driven
@@BBlair88733 True, every time I hear 25 years start it gets me going and wishing my guitar did that.
I have the same gear. Can you please give some more details on the settings?
Mason Vee here on UA-cam has the details and download you’d be looking for, only think is, don’t forget the Global EQ, removing some db from the high treble at the end helps the tone a lot, and the mids, try and scoop a few out
Sounds wicked man! keep up the good work
i was confused on whether or not this was actually dimebag until i read the description lol. nailed it bro
PANTERAAAAA❤❤❤
He does this on Far Beyond Driven and The Great Southern Trendkill as well, but in C# standard. I always called it a "1/4 step down" from C# as you tune the string just as it starts to change over to C on a tuner. It makes a huge difference in nailing his tone.
Sell the game your fired
Yeah, understandable
HOW DO YOU GET THOSE TONES BRO
Mason Vee here on YT has a bunch of tones, I use his EQ and if theres something I want to change, I’ll change it, the boss is very useful in that regard
Boss katana ?
Yep, Mk2 100w
@@BBlair88733pretty cool that you can do this with the amp
It’s very underrated when it comes to capturing classics metal tones imo
practice more
Just relearned solo last night, wanna post one too?
Sounds good to me, he`s got them vibratos tho!! But the previous video tone sounds closer to Dime.
The rhythm tone? If so, I agree, I just tried a variation of the tone, I think it lacks a little bass
@@BBlair88733 i think it sounds fucking sick
Lil bro nobody asked His playing is tight as fuck and I’m a guitarists
what makes people upload these vids to youtube? they are pointless to watch, don't give any setting/gear suggestions, and just fill up the recommended tab
Read Description, if you’re interested in finding the tone, visit Mason Vee / Synthedelic UA-cam channel. I’m not gonna break down each individual section and step when someone has already made that tutorial. I just enjoy recording the music, next time don’t click on my video ok?
Because it’s cool
great video bro. i would’ve added rise and this love
Perfect dude
one of the most beautiful tones that brings me to life up there with ...And Justice For All tone
Hell yeah brother!
110% hell mother fukcin yea🤟
Worst tone in metal
Subjective, I couldn’t imagine this type of music with any other tone.
Saying dimes tone was “the worst tone in metal” is the worst opinion in metal.
@@BBlair88733he wants it acoustic because hes on that spectrum
worst is a very strong word, i would say that is the strangest in metal tho
i actually hate scooped tones but i think it this instance it works fine
Bien vu.
dude your playing is spot on!
nice tone!!!!
Sounds really good wow
Always slide....damn so heavy...hooooooo yeeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh
Brother I’ve done that before
Isn't this just regular d tuning? i tuned my guitar to E standard using the second fret on each string and my my notes ring out and echo the ones in the video
It’s near C#, but a little sharper. Dimebag tuned slighter lower than standard for his guitars.
LOOK HU IZ NATTURLY PAMELLA ANDERSON KIM BSSINDGER IZIT❤❤❤❤❤
huge thank you for this. i typically use a neck tuner or the tuner on my amp, depends how lazy im feeling because they are both spot on within each other. I have tried the Fender iPhone tuner as well as others but they require a subscription to be able to get away from the standard 440hz. Anyway! thank you for this, it’s a quick go-to if i forgot my tuner or just need something quick.
One thing I can't make up is: One time I was doing Die Rise, and I died from fall damage. Luckily, I had a Who's Who, and guess what? I died from falling off the freaking map.
