I really like Wackxxy, but Diablo’s round was so impressive that almost every judge in the world would have voted for them. He got 100 out of 100 points in his round and this is enough to beat 4 rounds of them. Everything was on point… 🔥 the vibe, musicality, and interpretation were perfect without too much acrobatics. All the little details synced with the music, making it looked suuper easy and so smooth. The clip of the round went viral btw because a lot of dancers reposted it, saying it’s the best round they’ve seen in a hip hop battle in 2024. Totally a clean and flawless round
He won that round because he knows the song in and out. It's the references like pointing to his t-shirt just as the lyrics say it. Since Waackxxxy didn't know the song, she was attacking the beat and instruments. This decision is a PREFERENCE because if the judges are asian, the focus is mostly on the musicality less the lyrics and waackxxxy would've taken it. But all the judges seem to know the song lyrically and that's why Diablo won. A battle teacher once said this distinction between western and asian street dance battles that's why it's important to have both (e.g. understanding the lyrics WHILE being musical with the instruments). I personally prefer waackxxxy because I don't know and don't understand the song so I was focusing on the musicality.
Yeah since u break it down in your judgement to just hitting the beats… Diablo was hitting them cleaner and smarter. But it’s not just about knowing the music. The judges are legends in their own right and they see the advantage. What truly matters is how the dancer leverages thatadvantage. Btw Maika is arguably the best Asian hip hopbattle dancer out there. She gave the battle to them without a second thought. Seasoned professionals like her who’ve danced at such a high level for sooo many years have a way deeper understanding and judgment than most of us…
@@thomasyang9175 Maika is the best HIPHOP battler for a reason and that's why it's not enough to judge the two waackers who are arguably the best in WAACKING battles as of 2024. Also my judgment is a PERSONAL preference for the reason I already previously stated. It's a hiphop music, Diablo knows the song, Maika being the best in hiphop knows the song, that's why they click.

Pure victory Stala & Diablo 🔥 First round sheeesh I can’t comment on such funny bots🤣 in 2024 they still think that a one-sided wacking with 2 movements can at least contrast something with hip-hop titans and world champions. Hip-hop is the most ideal style for such battles, as it combines EVERYTHING: from basics to signature personal movements
And that's why you are UNQUALIFIED to speak about OPENSTYLE battles. You NEVER compare technical moves especially if it's two different styles competing. In street dance it's called RESPECT. The judges (ideally) should be looking at the MUSICALITY- meaning, a simple move hitting everything can win against a tornado move hitting nothing. Education.

Idk in round 3, there was so much disrespect from diablo - why? Zyko showed juste debout level performance while Diablo just appeared for about 10 seconds and disappeared, even waved on him like "watch". I mean, Nelson does the same thing which doesn't make him any worse, but makes it harder to battle against him because of the pressure, but there was no pressure from Diablo - so I don't get it. It looked sort of pathetic and disrespectful

This method is similar to the battle method already used in Korean dance programs. (It may have already been held elsewhere) But I didn't know that this would be held as an event battle at an actual dance event. So much fun!!!!

Maybe it's a battle where you vote by shouting from the public, the public always goes for the minors when they are battles of this type of dancers plus professions against kids who are just starting out... if this battle had been by judges, there is no doubt that the team would have won. Rochka
V-vibe is certainly talented and creative but I felt like there was a certain level of cohesiveness missing especially during their group battle rounds. I think that’s just due to dancer maturity and in the future will be super dope to see how they grow in skill and musicality. They matched charisma for sure especially the two younger looking boys lol. Their vibes reminded me of Davinci. However, Rochka’s group had that edge. They demonstrated musicality, team chemistry, skill and diversity of movements. That’s a team full of experienced battlers fr. It’s a shame they didn’t win and the crowd gave it to the kids to give it to the kids but it’s cool! It was a good show!
