You know looking back I think it was a pretty typical sibling rivalry I don’t see Francine as too cruel. Also Nora is a good mother but I think she gives Francine too much of a free pass on her telekinetic powers, knowing how much she abuses it. Nora clearly has no problem with Francine invading Lloyd’s mind on a daily basis

I personally see Zoit as male, since they’re shown to be open to wearing dresses, which I think challenges gender stereotypes more than girls doing masculine things like winning burping contests. I don’t know what Disney shows are like today, but back in my time, I think the only officially male Disney character who wore dresses was Pleakley from Lilo and Stitch, and I found him incredibly annoying, so it’s nice to think he wasn’t the only one.

I don’t think it was totally out of character for Lloyd to lash out like that. I mean there’s only so much you could poke the bear before they have their breaking point and your face gets clawed off. Sure he was a bit insensitive but at the same time the other head was also insensitive

This episode is a lot like the movie The Other Me (2000). I wonder if the creators were inspired by the movie for this plot.

I was in my late teens when I first watched this episode. Watching it again in my mid to late 30s, despite the ignorance of others, i think Lloyd and Eddie should have felt proud. It may not be the most glamourous of jobs but it's one of the important ones of all in society. Could you imagine if we didn't have garbagemen? Our houses and trash cans would be overflowing with garbage with no-one to properly dispose of it, which would attract vermin, which could lead to another bubonic plague.

I had a distinct memory of this episode ending with the character telling them all that they wouldn't find out what their choice was, until they had a crush on one of them, that everyone reacted by being grossed out, not arguing. Huh
