    at 7:24 "..and that the CEO in fact is the chief equity officer." In one way or another they always are...for better or worse, and sadly usually worse.

    Put differently: Areb't there more narratives and can't we tap into them and not just the 4 mentioned ones? We all have to deal with death, community, aloneness, etc

    I agree with the premise, that we use narrative to filter and process reality. I'm wondering about the very short palette: ie 4 narratives, 3 narratives or 1 narrative. See, for example Alain de Botton's talk on news. How he suggests we have a missed opportunity to use the stories of horrific tragedy in the way Greeks used tragedy, to deepen ourselves into "there but for the grace of God go I" sensibility about human flaws. He suggests 32 templates, the Greek tragedy being one.
