Wow, I love this, RIP Ravel thanks, from Sudan.
I don't mind the speed, but damn around 5:30 that send shivers down my spine!❤
One of the magics of this amazing piece is this very steady slow tempo thru the whole piece which is actually very difficult to keep. The original tempo is supposed to be 72 bps. But these guys begin with already too high tempo of 79 bps. At the end they reach a cosmic speed of 98 bps, which ruins the whole point. It's strange that with that many views and likes not too many listeners noticed it.

I’ve never heard it played like this. I enjoyed it very much. My father used to listen to it when I was a child.

Shows very well how complex a piece it is as it takes so many pianists. I adore Bolero anyway. I loved watching the top right piano..the young lady on the left was very much enjoying it as she seemed to immerse her whole body in the music. I didn't like the added descensing runs (don't know technical term) in the denouement; the crescendo was neutralised by the addition Ravel never wrote and it bombed before the end. Pity.
“Shows very well how complex a piece it is as it takes so many pianists.” Right? There’s a music expert I know and they showed me Bolero as an example to show that not all classical music is complex. No. It starts simple (I only got to see the beginning). But as the song progresses, it becomes very maximal that you cannot play it even on one piano. The melody is also complex. Though I am able to get it now, it took a lot of repetition to get it and understand it. Though i shouldn’t be generalizing a whole era/genre of music. There are classical pieces that are simple. I probably don’t remember them.
