Subhanallah, this goes to show that our prayers should be open-ended to receive what may be good for us even if we don’t perceive it at the time. Last year, I made the duaa for Allah to guide me in my relationship as I was engaged for too long and wanted to be married. I did indeed get married but divorced a month later. Subhanallah, the timing and manner of it all was a huge mercy because it allowed me to see that the grass was not greener on the other side and I can now finally move on. He has planted sakina in my heart and I am forever grateful for that guidance. Side note: if a man cannot commit to you, do not keep him in your life. Alhamdulillah, I didn’t set boundaries but Allah made me aware through this devs stating lesson.
