@54:03 Just to be a smartass, you can kinda sorta combine beams in the original Metroid. If you use a password to give yourself both ice beam and wave beam (such as NARPASSWORD), you get a beam that is functionally identical to ice beam, except the projectile is blue wave beam orb, rather than the normal ice beam projectile.

So, I was at a movie when this happened. Sucks, but there it is. Anyway, See you tonight for the Planets race.

1: Bloodstained is good. 2: That Metroid Planets race was something alright. The way all the TGIF and troll rooms just were assembled together was a special mix of amazing. The fact that this world ends with Deadly Mother Brain, a contender for my hardest final boss for the game when my final bosses are already (in)famous for their difficulty, was the cherry on top of the sundae. Congrats on beating it! Also, yes, I played it and it is hilarious.
