Hey @ReggaeBeatsPROD! I was blessed to be a part of Gentleman''s band for 8 years and did my best to document it with photos and audio/video recordings. I collected FOH mixing desk recordings from gigs (lots at my Mixcloud/Soundcloud pages - links in bio) and TV companies often gave us a video copy of the show they'd broadcast, and I always grabbed it and stashed it in my archive. Also set my video at home to record shows while I was away on tour. So glad I did now, and that I've been able to convert them for UA-cam so everyone can enjoy them! Quite a few complete shows here in the Live Bands playlist, as you've probably seen. I've uploaded pretty much everything I have with Gentleman now. You might also enjoy the Five Minutes Of Fame compilations - some magic moments! Please spread the word, ask people to subscribe and share my channel! Cheers!

I was there @RB-oz1mm and played that venue 5 years later! Pulp didn't have in-ear monitoring, like most people back then they were using conventional monitor wedge speakers. Jarvis often got too near them and dangled his mike too low, causing feedback squeals. Hard on the FOH sound tech, who would have been their guy...

Hey Dominik @ReggaeBeatsPROD! Delighted you've found my channel! Please spread the word/share! Back then in the days of music TV and video recorders I could set the timer to record the gigs that were broadcast and come home and watch them! TV stations like Germany's WDR often also gave us a VHS copy right after the gig, which we watched in the tour bus. I was always the one who grabbed and kept hold of the tapes and later DVDs, simply thinking I would be glad I did in years to come. I ended up with quite an archive of Gentleman gigs, but it wasn't until a couple of years ago that I got round to sifting through the footage and converting the best of it to mp4. An absolute joy to see that quite a few people are enjoying it now, and comments like yours are truly heartwarming! I also have a massive amount of audio only recordings. Habe dich auch mehrmals Live erlebt mit Gentleman und kenne natürlich auch die ganzen Live mitschnitte. Ich fande es immer was besonders dass auf der Bühne Tilmann/Gentleman mich immer mit Namen vorgestellt hat und dass er mich ursprunglich dabei haben wollte um Solos zu spielen. Das war ein wahnsinnige wunderschöne Zeit. Schön dass Du dabei warst und mich auch jetzt in Close-Up erleben kannst!

@e.d.c.7284 that's amazing! I did about 400 gigs around the world and played on two albums with Gentleman and the Far East Band from 2002 until 2008 - such an amazing time! He's still going strong with the Evolution backing him, but I love what we did with him best!

I'm not a fan of lists or rankings...no-one is better or worse than anyone else, they all play entirely differently and it's purely a question of who you like best. However, Joe Pass is without doubt one of the most accomplished guitarists ever and a benchmark for all musicians, in particular aspiring guitarists. That's why I took the trouble to digitise this footage from a 30 year-old video and post it on my channel...around 16k people agree with you Chris!

Saw then in Norwich in 1980 @richardtucker5686 - remember the spray off the drums in the spotlight! I was right up the front and reached out to shake Chrissie Hynde's hand!!
