Andrea! I go by Fenise! Renaissance Mama of Two! I inherited my family’s properties. I am documenting my journey of redeeming, reclaiming, and archiving the things left behind. Every now and then, I share my life and my work as a creative in real estate development and archiving.
Beepers, Recipes, and Buttons Ep.2
I am embarking on another inheritance journey. My dear Aunt Stefy passed away June 15th 2024 and I inherited her condo.
I have decided after unexpectedly going viral on TikTok and with the suggestion of my lovely new community to document this journey of grief, inheritance, redemptive real estate, archiving, and genealogy. All of the things.
Though emotional at times, proud, and excited, this docuseries will be my way to heal inwardly and outwardly and fulfill an assignment.
This episode is a small introduction to the "Aunt Stefy’s" series but I have so much to share with you all.
Thank you all so much for being here. Subscribe to follow the journey!

#BIGMAMASHOUSE : Boarding the House Up and Field Measurements
Переглядів 964 роки тому
Not sure if you all know issues around homes in blight but #bigmamashouse definitely was. One of the major issues we were having was a homeless person going in and living in the house after we bought it. In this vlog, we take a trip to Home Depot to get supplies to board the house. We also met Sophorn over at the house again so that she could take field measurements. It was an exciting time bec...

I am surrounded by talented and creative friends. We called my good friend Sophorn Kuoy Olsen who is an architect to work with us on redesigning the house. Right now, we are undecided on how many bedrooms the house will have as well as how we will build out the new construction to upgrade the house. We finally take you inside to see the condition, the original layout, and our ideas of how we wi...

I recently bought my great grandmothers home in North Memphis. My husband and my family are all working together to restore and renovate it. Follow us along this journey as we work this labor of love.
You're building legacy for your family👏🏾🙌🏾❤...and honoring your lineage. *Beautiful*
Yes! Thank you! I’m so blessed to do so 😊
This was beautiful ❤Everytime you discovered a new item,I got excited. Keep going sis!
Thank you so much 🤗 Sis!! I found more but I didn’t want the video to be an hour long.
Beautiful inheritance journey. Thank you for sharing your family's legacy. I'm honored.
Can’t wait to hear more about her. Did she go to college? What did she do for a living?
Ohhhh thank you for being here!!! She did go to college. She went to University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She studied Biology and Music. After college, she was an Environmental Scientist. I did a video on TikTok but looking forward to sharing more of her journey of applying to medical school.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!
Thank you so much for being here 😊 It warms my heart
Here from TikTok!!!❤️
Ohhhhh 😊 thank you for coming over here ❤
Thank you for sharing and preserving and researching your family's legacy. You inspire. us all to take those steps and/or think about the depth of a family legacy. The Aunt Steffy in my family was my Mommie's Sister - Joan aka Joannie. In my Mommie's family as children, we were allowed to use first names, but in respect and endearment. Joannie lived in San Francisco -no children, never married.
Thank you for being here! It is incredibly important for us to research and know our history. Who they were are essentially who we are. I know Aunt Joannie was amazing.
I love this, thank you for sharing Aunt Stefy legacy with us. Look forward to seeing all the wonderful treasures ❣️
Thank you so much!!!! There is just so much to uncover and share.
You're always so very inspiring! Just subbed!🥰

Congrats. I'm glad you have a youtube channel. I'm wishing you much success in this process. Your ancestors are very proud of you.
Thank you so much Ashley. I really appreciate it. It is my daily prayer to make them proud and carry the torch for them.
go mommy! go mommy!
Thank you babe!!! I’m doing it for you 😘
ughhhhhhh! So damn disappointing! I am so sorry that you had to tear down history in order to rebuild. What do you need us to do as an audience, to help you? Do we need to do some research or call some people to make this happen?
I love the idea of tiny homes and community development...I am pretty sure there are some resources around tiny hom building. Please do save some of the foundation or pieces of the home that you adore, like the wall in cabinet, so they are on display when you do have an exhibit of some sort for the community.
Sorry to to hear your house project is being put on hold. I pray you can get a grant or funding to complete this. It is sad how banks treat blacks for loans is sad
It makes me so sad but I have to stay optimistic. Something good will come soon. We are looking for funding sources. Redlining is so real. It is so unfortunate how we get passed over.
love it Friend ! <3 Muchas felicidades , tu casa quedará hermosa <3
Muchas Gracias Amiga!!!!!! Gracias por ver!
Yayyyy! 2nd episode! Love it!
Yo Andrea! I absolutely love this. I am currently on my journey to financial stability, so I can buy a house as well. I want to be a resident of Miami, but this video got me thinking...I'm originally from North Carolina and maybe I can do the same? Idk, but this is awesome, congrats! And yes, keep it in the family! ✊🏾
Yes, please continue this series.
Thank you sooooo much! You can do it. Try buying from your cities land bank or foreclosure. You can do it!!!!
