Sharing my adventures in learning to make jewelry one step at a time!
But since I’m just starting, I’m just going to go ahead and own that some things will just always be at least a little janky.

How *I* Mostly Correctly Use a Rectifier for Electroforming Jewelry
Prepare yourselves for glamour! Drama! Intrigue! JK, it’s my dirty laundry room. But it’s where I run my jewelry through the Electroforming bath! I’m not perfect at it yet, but I’m learning, so check it out and learn with me!

In this video, I will show you at least how I use conductive paint to prep my jewelry for the Electroforming process. I already have a handful of mistakes you can learn from!
Using Apoxy Sculpt for Electroforming Jewelry

In This first video, I will show you the first step in the electroforming process. Creating the basic shape for your jewelry! I used to part Sculpt and a few clay tools. Get ready to learn this crazy process with me!
Half yellow modge podge and half grafite powder.
I like your video
Thank you for explaining this like a normal person. You filled in some blanks about my rectifier. I'm hoping to start today because I have my supplies finally, but I am nervous
Did you electro form your hair ? How the heck did you get it that unnatural color ?
Thank you for these videos! I’m thinking of trying this. Your videos are helping me. Make more please😆!
Thanks for this video. How many pieces can you do at a time in a jar that size?
I typically do 3 max.
@@thejankyjeweler6359 thanks!
Thank you Sarah! I never sand the apoxie and I think I'll start doin it. That's a very nice tip. I use acetone based conductive paint and sometime it doesn't stick very well on the smooth surface of the apoxie. I hope it's gonna work better. Nice video btw.
If you wanted to polish it and keep it bright would you put clear nail polish on it or is there something else you use?
I have heard of some people using protectaclear. I polish it with renaissance wax, but I’m not sure what that would do on an un-patina-d surface.
I've always been interested in electroforming but have never done it. This is interesting. I just subscribed to your channel! I hope you'll show more pieces you're working on!
Cool idea! I am looking into ways to use this clay in jewelry also.
Lindo!!!!! Você sabe quem da curso desta técnica
Because I am cheap and like to *attempt* to utilize what I already have on hand, I super glue my bails and items of interest, and use polymer clay I already have to mold stone settings and fine details then bake to set before going in with the graphite and sealant. I've learned the most important thing is to make sure I don't leave my finger prints in the clay because it shows through in the plating....so far so good!
