I love these old time Black n White Horror movies I love All Horror movies but the old Ones are my favorite Can you do more reviews on All the other Frankenstein movies plus Dracula and Wolfman would be great I'll keep a look out if you do decide to review more Old Horror movies
I love the old ones the best too. Some of the new horror movies are unwatchable to me. I'm planning more of the classic monster and vampire movies and I have a wolfman movie from the 1970s that I loved too!
Thanks for this info. I need to learn how to format and upload. Hopefully this will help. I do appreciate the effort. I just emailed you for your link to the sheet. ty Steven

Wow! I can't wait for the next video! Thanks for this! ❣
Thank you! I just used your specs to format a short story I uploaded to Kindle. Worked fine.
Glad it was helpful!!!
Again, thanks for this video! Not only am I happy to hear about Gimp, I am grateful that you used it to demo and explain how you did your own covers in your series.
I'm glad this is a help. It helped me when I was on a very tight budget!
Thank you for this video. Your hints and tips will be invaluable to me as I seek an artist to create my first (nonfiction) book cover! I had never heard about many of them. I have subscribed to your channel as the thumbnails to many of your other videos showed more topics that will be beneficial to review.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm glad to hear this is useful to you! 😁😁
Do you then use the Kindle Previewer or have you ever? For me once I preview my epub in kindle previewer, the table of contents picks up the page breaks of the front matter content and titles them as "section 1; section 2 and so forth. Is this something you've experienced and does it mean they appear in final upload on Amazon kdp as section?
Yes, I end by checking everything in the Kindle Previewer inside the KDP dashboard. Mind you, I was never able to get Kindle Create to work for me, but by following the tips in the video, I was able to get them to upload successfully.
THANK YOU! "but no one showed me how to USE THEM". Just found you.
sorry to ask, but why don't you use calibre?
Okay...I'm using Word 2016. Set it up as you showed. Saved it as a PDF. Uploaded and Kindle managed to combine a good number of words together that generated errors that are not in the original document. It also simply ran everything together with no page breaks and yes the manuscript contains page breaks. A bit of research indicated the document should be setup with Reflowable Text turned on. Cannot find anywhere where Reflowable text can be turned on in this version of Word. Any suggestions and can you elaborate on Reflowable Text.
Reflowable text is automatically turned on for an eBook. Since you mentioned automatic flow, I'm assuming you are talking about an eBook. I've never uploaded a pdf as an ebook. I have uploaded a docx file and it works okay, but there are always a few "quicky spots". My advice is to go back to your Word doc and show the codes so you can see your paragraph lines, etc. It's always best also to use the styles rather than just adjusting the font here and there. In other words, the quickest way for you to fix this is to open the document again in Word (or Google docs) and put on your "show codes" setting. It's on the Word ribbon. Then set up your "normal style" to be what you want your normal to be. For example: Normal style: Font name Times New Roman, size: 11pt, .02 indent. Once this is set up, then copy each chapter and click on "Normal" from the styles box. This will unify everything. It will take time as it is safest to do it chapter by chapter. Let me know if this works. I think doing a video on how to set up the styles gallery would be a good video for me to make! Thanks for commenting!
@@chrissis111 Was able to fix part of it by using the Styles thing. At least the run-together word errors are no longer an issue. Still having issues with page breaks and paragraph spacing...Thnx for your help...I'll figure it out eventually.
I just did a video on how to clean up a manuscript for KDP platform. Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/UF92aWMwNCI/v-deo.html

@@Regina-readfirstchapter there are several "upload an image and list me the font" but I found the matcherator from that site to be the bst. hth!

Thank you for this video. I'm new to Goodreads and I publish with different pen names. How do you claim your books with different pen names with just one author profile?
I searched the Goodreads knowledge base but it says they are presently not set up to accommodate multiple pen names. You may needs to have two separate accounts for that, or if you want to try to have a publisher name and then have the books all in the one account.
Sorry couldn't listen to it all your voice drones on too much.
Thanks so much for this detailed information.
I'm glad it was helpful! Thanks for commenting.
I'm trying to get my book published. Do the chapters of a book have to be in the same file? Mine are in separate files.
Yes. If you are publishing on KDP, which is what Amazon is called when you are self-publishing, your entire manuscript should be in one document. The cover you will be directed to upload separately. I hope this helps! Just copy them carefully, one after the other into the same book. Make sure you use "heading 1" on all of your chapters. This is what the Table of Contents will work from.
@@chrissis111 Do the front and back cover have to be in the same file? Do you label all the chapters heading 1?
@@reddahlia35 You need to get a page count and have KDP produce a customized book cover template. I just did a video on making a paperback and hardback cover from only an ebook and I think this would be helpful to you. Here is a link to the Gimp Playlist with a lot of good information about all of this: ua-cam.com/play/PLA0DlMOR9qnttVvfISLdjeg4Cbcj3umfR.html
Thank you!
My pleasure!
Yours are by far the easiest to understand videos I've seen. Thank you for taking the time to make and share them. ❤
Thanks so much!!!
Thanks for the compliment! It means a lot!.
Thank you! That tip about the chapter ending graphics is especially helpful because that was something i was doing as well. Question, though. I noticed each paragraph break in your sample pages for both the ereader previews and in Sigil doesn't keep with the line spacing as per a regular book. Is this due to Sigil formatting? Or did you purposely not choose to preserve line spacing with paragraphs of the same style in Word (or whichever program you wrote it in)?
I chose to alter the space underneath the paragraphs. I think adding breathing room makes the books easier to read, easier on the eyes. That's why I deliberately do that. When you self-publish, you can do all these customized changes. Also, I added an extra line or two after the section break just to make it look more like a new section/scene. I'm glad the video was helpful. Feel free to post a link to your book so viewers can have a look.
@@chrissis111 thank you for responding. ❤
Thank YOU. This is great. A methodical system/strategy has eluded me for decades. Dead serious. I'm off to read in depth so the messages can sink in!!!
I'm glad you like it. It helps to know people are enjoying or appreciating the videos! :)
@@Regina-readfirstchapter Happy to help, Regina! Go get 'em!!
Hello. Thank you for the video. I have published 2 books approximately 10 years ago. I tried to log back into my old account but was faced with "Sorry, it looks like you've already claimed that author!" Is there a workaround to get back into my old account or must I start a new account. Thank you for any advise that you could provide.
Did you publish them on Amazon? If you call Amazon, they can probably walk you through it. Otherwise, you may want to do a book cover change or a new release and then republish. If I had more info, I may be able to give you more tips.
Omg thank the algorithm I found you lol As someone a little late to file organization game and a lot add. There is something so first principles and detailed that is resonating with me. Process is everything and most content is about a certain soft but soft can't solve a lack of the basics but I have been hard pressed to find a way to learn it - and with a end result I understand. Once I get this locked in I know I can apply it to other ideas/markets.
