I tried for a few hours to play this. I think it's problem is that it keeps differentiating itself from Vampire Survivor for the sake of it, and in the process takes away huge amounts of quality-of-life. The character's speed is hideously penalized whenever you shoot. The main weapon ("bullets") attracts a huge amount of the RNG level-up upgrades, but does insignificant damage compared with passive magic skills. To win it's essential to get synergies - but the synergies are very artificial/baked-in/contrived and the RNG will usually force you to pursue several different paths down the skilltree at once - and then the most important upgrades have a negative side-effect and you can't tell which of the paths you've been pursuing matters. I tried most of the characters, maybe 7 of them and likewise most of the main weapons: in every case I found myself pushed into an overly evasive style of play that didn't kill the monsters quickly enough * unless * I was lucky enough to pick up the "run and gun" skill that reduces the penalty for shooting. I'm not sure what the fix is. They clearly have a different design philosophy than Vampire Survivors and probably they need to lean into that but do a lot more playtesting and watching people play. It might be that a speed penalty could be fun if the wave patterns (or the early ones at least) were adjusted to prevent so many enemies spawning to the character's rear. Speaking of which: I find the pixel art somewhat repugnant. I guess it's that the person seemingly cared more about drawing some young girls than they cared about learning how to draw. The facial expression in the thumbnail (or first frame) is unnatural - a vampire lolita in the process of bursting out laughing. If they had mixed in a few Van Helsings and Abraham Lincolns, perhaps with their pectoral muscles scrawled over the top of an equally bad tracing from a fashion magazine, I'd be more tolerant. Or they could go like Hyperdimension Neptunia and make the roster all AI anime bimbos: then we wouldn't have to wonder "why did someone put effort into this" because they wouldn't have. pff

Would love to know what model/program you used to upscale. A download for the textures would also be awesome
