Ever since I hear Delta Spirit with " California " , the two drums in this song have been fascinating and so exact to me. it never take center stage in the song 'cause it leave the exact spaces for the guitars and the keyboards, and I could even compare this excellent Indi Rock to the Beach Boys, Scott McKenzie, Shocking Blue, The Moody Blues, The Marmalade, The Hounds, Mamas & the Papas, CCR and so many other lovely bands from those beautiful 60's and 70's that Roots Rock and Swamp Blues Rock, I can hear present those music style in this band and for me it is great.
"California" It seems like a awaltz of notes and they are all so sweet that you end up falling totally in love with this song.
And a big hug from afar for those who have let that special person go to another city . . . and who we know will never return to us.

Groggy, honestly, when I posted this song, I never imagined it would be a debate of opinions, I know that the context of Scott Stapp's lyrics is tremendous in this song, but I truly believe that he has gone through is more than a personal struggle, it is an immense message to all of us . . . I know that we are not perfect and we have made mistakes just like him, I think this is music taken from his heart with a direct appeal to his soul and convictions CREED for me it is how imperfect we are, but that in their excellent music we can take refuge without fear . . .
