How did Dungeons and Dragons go from moody serious dark fantasy like this intro to things like the Dungeons and Dragons movie...

When I collected this footage and edited it for his memorial service, I made sure I only used his art, I edited it to Sting’s Shape of my Heart~ he was a master artist and it was my honor ~ his art can be seen in National Museums as well~ he was a kind and loving man and I’m glad I got to know him

They really needed to list his job title so people knew what he did. It would have made more sense.

This is probably this start of the best part of Lol2. This is a classic. And i dont know why EA dont want to do a release or remake of this game and the others.

My brother and I played this as kids. He hates it, I love it. We never got further than the dungeon where you can't rest, until I beat it as an adult a couple years ago. Look here see, you need two fighter/clerics and two cleric/mages. You'll always have someone to cure poison and paralysis without being fucked over by lack of slots or a paralysed cleric, also lots of healing and hold person spells for crucial moments. Get Insal, until you pick the lock for Ambers bones, yeet him and resurrect Amber (mage/thief), then get San-Raal (mage) and prioritise him for scrolls. Use his Wall of Force to get the stuff from the green gem path in temple level 2 by stopping a wall from trapping you, if you want. There you go you've got 4 mages and 4 clerics. All the firepower, hasting, buffing and healing you could want and you still have a thief.

Still going strong in 2021. One of the best games made.

First Time I played this I had no experience with PCs, so when I started playing a completly mute game I thought "This is @#%&ing awasome". Years latter replaying it I was old enough to dare messing with PC Configs and sound drivers... My head exploded when this intro started with music and the thunder crushing, I was blown away TWICE by the same game, it was a whole new experience for me and played the s#%t out of it. This must be in my top 3 game of all time, right next to diablo 1, difference is, I still replay EoB2 now and then.

The last thing I remember from playing this game was getting absolutely demolished by some demon guy in this fire/lava zone...anyone know wtf I am talking about, cuz I don't. This was my first real RPG growing up. Had no idea what I was doing.

I like the "evil" ending...it's conclude the saga , with Luther King of Gladstone, there will not the events of Land of Lore 3 :)

Frank Keplacki composed this when he was... 16 or 17 years old.

When I first saw this cutscene I was marveled. But now I see what it really was; There's a lot of Occult symbolism, starting from the Egg, then the Pyramid with the Dragon (Lucifer) on top, The Octagram (Powerful Occult symbol, appears twice) and tones of Egyptian Obelisks which represents Osiris's missing manhood. The finishing scene is when the Lighting strikes the open pyramid which represents to opening of the gateway to Lucifer's realm (See Gozer's arrival in the Original Ghostbusters, it's the same message) and Lucifer's arrival on Earth.Also notice the clouds are behind the sun too, this shows the geocentric Earth. Hidden in plain sight.

Probably the game that kick-started my love for computer rpg:s, which then got me into reading fantasy novels. Without that, I would never have picked up Lord of the Rings a year later and the thousands and thousands of hours I spent spellbound in different fantasy worlds would never have happened. I still remember the shivers I got down my back when I first watched this intro as a boy in the early 90's, at a friends house, hearing the slightly creepy midi music and watching the atmospherics intro before you stepped into the dungeon sure brings back some good memories. :) Awesome game for it's day, and FU EA for killing of Westwood!

It's great but the music descends whilst they're ascending the staircase... just doesn't fit.. haha. But after that the music is incredible.

Damn, the good ending is unsatisfying. :( Hell, even losing against Belial was more interesting.

Well, I guess you get the third version if you are playing "bad" Luther. There you have to confront Draracle.

Confirmed: Dreamstone. You get the mantle in the city itself.

For the second/angry version, you need to not have the Dreamstone in your inventory.
