Great video. This scenario is great and I think it is definitely necessary to continue with additional construction on this route to make it even better. More details are missing in the wider area around the stations and I think that this route deserves to be worked on 😊

Thanks for the review Sam! I have began working on filling in the gaps of distant scenery to the route which will take a bit to finish off to do but should be ready for the next phase of the route. Even myself I dont like the lack of distant scenery but it was designed to make the route run smoother as I am planning on making it a huge network in future and being detailed throughout, just worrying if it begins to be laggy. But I agree there are portions of the distant scenery that need some bits and bobs placed in it. With the flickering roads, most of it was from the original phase (which was Brighton to West Worthing) which is the way I did roads, I have improved from that and not made roads or assets flicker as bad on the new section, but i'll go through the original phase and fix them too! Also the stretched buildings are just the way I kitbash stuff, I haven't done it as bad on the second phase but its an attempt to get the building shapes as close to reality as possible. But anyway thanks for the review, you picked up stuff that I didn't notice myself when playing it so i'll go through and sort some of them in an upcoming update!

What a shame to hear this. However most content for Trainz is user generated, especially older content, so it would need permission from those creators in order to update the content, its not necessarily the developers holding it back, that has always been the general rule with Trainz that to modify something you need the original authors permission, which of course may no longer be possible If they have left or are no longer active. I believe quite a few UK creators have already left, My British Trainz forum has been extremely quiet this past year with hardly any new topics or posts. If you are interested I will shortly be releasing version 1.9 of my Cornish Railways route for Trainz, covering every line in Cornwall (and the very West of Devon). It is exhausting how fragile these “adults” become when this “kids” character is ever introduced or talked about. Your precious sim filled to the brim with bugs isn’t going to become tainted or implode because of him.

Proof that aliens do exist, what can I say! Dovetail should invest some time in creating a Drone, UAP, UFO simulator. Then they'll make some real money.

Dovetail should concentrate on getting the lighting in the evening right and making the passengers look like real people and not robots. Forget all the other bugs, at least get these 2 things right.

Okay, we have a lot to dissect. First off, this DLC was made to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Railway Series. Secondly, Rev. W. Awdry didn't base Thomas off of the Nene Valley Railway's Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0T. In fact, Thomas, as a character, existed before the NVR's Thomas was built. Thirdly, Thomas isn't a fictional locomotive. At least, his shape isn't. He's based off of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway E2 tank engines. Fourthly, it makes sense that a character that has made many people fans of railways would be in a train simulator. Fifthly, what about the Christmas F7A set? That isn't realistic. Lastly, the "Black 5" you've shown is actually a Jubilee. Please realize that you are complaining about something that matters as much as a milk carton having their color pallete slightly desaturated. Good day, sir.

You don't have to buy the bloody thing. My Grandson will love it. He is 8 and loves doing the training modules in TSW4 this will be ideal for him. I've already upgraded to TSW5 and got the Somerset add on for it.

Also, we Thomas fans also know that Thomas isnt real, none of the characters are real, but their basis are, and we are fine with that.

Can you just... Watch @Nictrain123's vids.. about the E2? Yeah, Thomas' is real dumbass, he's based on a real Southern Engine, he's related to Stepney, Boxhill, and any other Terriers. My suggestion is that Train sim should've added an E2 model that is painted like Thomas' livery.

3:10 I appreciate that you brought up this version of Thomas. But what do you mean when you say “ Reverend Awdry based his book off of this locomotive”. Thomas’s book came out the year before that engine was built. The engine just ended up adopting the name “Thomas” because it had a similar paint job to the book character, and the author approved of the nickname, leading to the engine masquerading as Thomas in real life events. Thomas himself is actually based off of an E2 tank engine from the LBSC railway

Why are people complaining if they could have just added all engines go thomas instead. Atleast they went with the original and the CGI series in my opinion was realistic in its own ways too. To be fair if this engine comes it probably wont have facial expressions so you can think of it like the day out with thomas dummy. And id actually like it if it did have facial expressions. Thomas has been put in simulator games using mods and the fact he has officially made it into a game no mods needed is wonderful.
