The icing recipe to use on the house is so simple! It's made with just two ingredients! Start with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar then slowly add water until it barely comes together, forming a thick paste, and it's ready to use!
The gold paint recipe is even easier! Start by adding one tablespoon of gold luster dust into a bowl, then add a tiny bit of water, a few drips at a time, until it paints well.

Do not try to use Butter Flavor Crisco!!! Too much butter flavor added. Just stick to regular
Great tip! If you follow the recipe and believe it's still too buttery you can also opt to exclude the butter flavoring for a frosting with a less buttery taste. Additionally, you can replace a stick of butter with Crisco for a variation in texture and flavor.
