Thank you for the explaination of the class, i'm literally watching videos like yours because i am VERY confused about the Revenant. Everyone puts it in "S" tier for tier lists, yet i make use of what's supposed to be the "open world meta build" on Metabattle and i'm beginning to believe that metabattle is "hit or miss" because the build they recommend so far is really good at getting defeated, anytime the opponent is a veteran or higher at least. And seemingly nothing i do gets it to do damage. And then i get on LITERALLY ANY OTHER "profession" and i have a good time in at least surviving and/or dealing damage. The scrapper for example, the "profession" annoys me because it wants you to use EVERYTHING. However, your rewarded with survivability and good damage for putting everything on CD. And yes, an "open world" build that metabattle recommends as "meta" for the engineer.

Im deciding between warrior and ranger, i like that the ranger can collect or tame animals, but is there a way not to have the animal be in your way. Like deactivating the pets. I also like the number of weapons warriors can use.

Im a warrior main and there is 1 thing i absolutely hate about him. If you want to have 100% prot uptime wich is the best defense in open world/soloing you have to sacrifice about 75% of your dmg. While other classes get 100% uptime and other great buffs while being on full dps speccs

i like the concept of this type of video, but i feel like you don't go "in depth" enough and this is more of an "overview" which while can be good info i feel like there's more info that should be made known. One of the things that's always bothered me is the disregard for considering playstyle. Like for example, if someone wanted to play Untamed but be at a range, sure the player could use a short bow or a longbow. But not only are Axe's ranged, but are the best option. But if you enjoy doing close combat, and you leveled up making use of the greatsword maybe, might really enjoy soulbeast as it wants to be in close combat. An overview of each of the different "build specs" would be good too.

Mostly play Heal rifle Chrono in fractals and condi Mirage in open world.

This game is so dead, I only see 1/20 people in the zone I lvl without triple digits with yellow number, and I'm only lvl 32. Is there nothing else to do than to repeat same events over and over?

What about marauder stats? You cant buy that inscription on the market place i dont think so do i have to learn inscription just to get that stat?

Engineer will make you feel smart and develop carpal tunnel in your fingers. Unless you play Mechanist, in which case you'll seem like a smug kindergartener with a helicopter parent.

I've really enjoyed Mesmer! It feels great and the skills jive together vert smoothly. I've played Necro, Guardian and Thief moderately, and they're all good. Not as good and Mesmer (for me.) I've barely touched Warrior, Elementalist, Revenant, and Engineer, and I didn't play them for very long because they didn't feel very good to me. *Shrug* I haven't touched Ranger at all yet, but I'm planning to soon because it looks like it could be fun. I just don't play Ranger very much in general.

Engineer is one of my favored professions to play with Elementalist. I would love to write an essay about it so I will summarize the 50 page essay to one short point: Mechanist has THE easiest Low intensity builds for PvE end game by dropping the Kit for a Turret. Rocket Turret on Power builds and Flamethrower Turret on Condi builds.

Elementalist spear ability visuals feel great when solo. Not so much when you need to avoid some mechanic involving being able to see through the visual clutter to survive.

I can confirm that cele Engineer is fine with a spear. Ele spear is pretty much fun. I'm not great at ele but had fun experimenting with Cata and Tempest. There's a good core to the weapon.

Revenant spear is super boring. i still stick with shortbow and mace / axe

ranger spear feels so clunky, its awful to me. Mesmer and guardian feel great, thief is "alright", warrior is excellent as well.

I like all of the spears but my personal favorite by a pretty wide margin is Thief. I'm a Thief main so I'm biased but it solves so many inherent issues with Thief in open world. High Vuln uptime, lots of health sustain, lots of initiative sustain, works exceedingly well as a Shadow Arts champion solo weapon, pairs well with Fire For Effect on Deadeye for permanent AoE Quickness, Might, and Fury. Definitely the most fundamentally game-changing of the new spears for me.

The spear made me go back to my first character, a warrior. The rotation, the build, the range, everything feels so smooth and easy! I love it on Engi and Mesmer as well.

i'd say my favorite is the guardian spear with ele and warrior just behind it

Elementalist is so me an meele mage. You are always forced to meele. In Tempest cause of your overloads and weaver aswell for the utility skill that is nice. Even the spear is bad in my opinion.............. they should rework some stuff like, when u switch to water you always get the boons from arcane mastery etc. This class is in some points so bland....... I´m playing elementalist since release... and I love to play it, but it always feels half as good as other classes in therms of DPS , survivability &&&

Very surprising that you rated SotO as "S" tier, above everything else in the game??? I doubt that you have many other players who agree with that rating, as most people I know and have seen in videos about SotO, don't like it and would rate it below all other expansions, and also below most or all of the Living World seasons. The reasons, or features you listed about SotO don't really seem to me to uplift it into the top "S" tier spot on this list. Maybe you can explain a bit more in these comments, why you put SotO so high on this tier list?

I went virtuoso and I find the meta build really boring. Been trying to come up with something else that works well but I'm not having much luck. It was my favorite class when I got back into the game and it's disappointing what it turned into. I'm guessing I should have gone chronomancer if I liked core?

Great video. I am a bit confused about how to Enhance a legendary skill in a Renegade. For example, Breakrazor's Bastion can be enhanced to provide a barrier effect. How do you enhance that skill? The wiki says about Band Together but it is vague and didn't say anything how would someone know if a skill is enhanced.
