I was inspired by the haunting beauty of the original version featuring a children’s choir and the stunning orchestral arrangement of this song from NieR. In this remix, I decided to blend orchestral elements with acoustic and electric guitars and intricate synthesizers. For the choir part, I used my vocal synthesis companion, Kokoro, to add an ethereal touch that bridges the gap between humanity and technology.
The music video explores a delicate interplay between the serene, contemplative beauty of winter landscapes and the dark, mesmerizing allure of urban exploration. This duality reflects the contrasts I feel in Nier Replicant and Automata: hope and despair, silence and chaos.
