Good video. My drybags would look a lot better if I didn't sew them. Those Power Blocks have a huge problem. They're slippery. In a Dyneema bag this would be even worse. When my Anker slipped out of it's sack and cracked the gelcoat of a friend's sailboat I had to figure out a way to stop this. (Think of just how bad that design is. It's nearly impossible to use a power block unless the top of the sack is open, and then it readily slides right out. ) I came up with two solutions. First heavy duty double stick tape. This might also work with Dyneema. I wrapped it around the middle and pressed the bag against it. A more flexible solution was to wrap a rubber band around the outside. This would definitely work with the Dyneema bag. Use two rubber bands because even the non - latex ones dry out over time. Drybags like this are also good for food. Moths would get in my oatmeal. A drybag totally stopped this. (So I've got $3 worth of oatmeal in a $30 silicone drybag...but no more moths and worms.) I'd generally make or buy a larger size drybag than needed because there's no issue of fitting and they compress down all the empty space. Ripstopbytheroll.com gave me this link learnmyog.com/rolltopsack.html it calculates the amount of material you need for a drybag. I'm making several that I want to slide plastic clothes baskets into to use on my boat. The calculator worked great. (I also try to use light colors or white for bags so when I look inside I can see what's in there. Black bags are spec'd by people who never use them. What else are they missing? This gray one here is okay because Dyneema is so translucent.)
Yea in a marine environment I could see how that could be a problem. In the hiking space I’m in stuff is generally in a backpack pocket or on a tent floor so less of an issue. Some adhesive anti slip strips is a tidy solution applied to the block
Where to get it ? Thanks

Very pricey kit…
Why this video recommended on my feed lol 😂
Very nice wallet! I'll have to check it out. Thank you for sharing. Great video sir!
Dropping Aug 4th
Fair play a love mine, it’s become a bit of a game in the local pub, no one can pull it apart (Not the way you did it though) 😂
This looks superb!
Any chance of making this a standalone thing with a harness?
Thats a no im afraid
This is firkin awesome. Just ordered. I've been eyeing up something like this for sometime, was about to attempt my own but it would have nothing on this piece of art! Looking forward to "representing" here in New Zealand, cheers
Outstanding creation ❤️
The static pictures on site are great,, but this video show and tell, really makes it pop ❤️ it looks meticulous, sleek, sexy and highly functional. Which it is. Your skill and attention to detail are unparalleled in the field of backpacking add ons 👍 long may you continue to bring us the best ultralight and practical kit made to help us get the most out of our adventures.... #keepitsalty
The floating pocket is a nice idea
Seems really cool. But the roll down card slot seems kinda strange to me.
Thanks Charles. Its more about creating a multi use secure pocket that has a level of waterproofing so it can take moisture sensitive items like memory cards too as well as change and credit cards. Its very easy to use in practice.
@@treadlitegear1646 As a fellow DCF lover I always like seeing cool new things made with DCF. first time I watched this it was on my phone and I thought the opening was down by the bottom Velcro. But now that I'm on my computer I see that the opening is all the way at the top of the roll down. makes way more sense now.
I'm loving your stuff... here in Alberta, on the doorstep of the Rocky Mountains
I've got your standard ecopak pouch in this size that I use for EDC. Very useful and perfect size for mini knipex, victorinox, space pen, and mini aa flashlight.
Do you have a hint for uns MYOG guys how to stamp DCF? Thanks a lot! Juergen
How did you bond it? Tape or heat?
Tape Drewe
Are you selling these, Sir?
Yes but im on holiday until 20 July.
Thank you for your reply and enjoy your holiday,@@paulstokes786!
This is great. Do you still sell these?
Discontinued now. Not enough sales. Guess it coming with the biner and being waterproof theres less need
@Tread Lite Gear oh that's a shame, but I understand. If you ever decide to bring them back, I would be interested as it seems like a great way to protect the device.
Very nice, my wallet from 2 years ago is still holding up nicely.
What a name :D. Very nice!!
I ordert mk1 and mk2 and i will make one of them to have a backup. im very exited about this product!!! Greatings from Germany
I love this product and use it all the time. Great video, spot on.
I have used one of these and highly recommend it. Held my phone securely, dead easy to access and kept it dry in some awful all day rain. I was hoping that the mesh pouch would hold my compass, which it did but the fastening strap hindered swift removal of it. Not a big issue, I just let it flap when using the compass a lot.
Hey, cool product, you have a lot of interesting dyneema accessories on your website. Just wondering where you get your dyneema from? I’ve found it incredibly hard to get it in the UK for any MYOG projects. Thanks
I sell dcf in the myog section of the website
Nice to see where the gear I received earlier this week (and definately more orders to come) came from.
Does anyone cut bits off their credit card to make it lighter?
This would be awesome as a micro med kit, prescription meds, band aid etc
Hi, Connector is Micro USB-C ? Thanks
Not C just normal micro usb
Absolutely love this. time to ditch the supplied carbiner.
Cheers Donny, they are in store now www.treadlitegear.co.uk/dyneema-composite-fabric-cuben-fiber-garmin--inreach-feed-bag-pouch-610-p.asp
What tape was used for bonding?
For Dyneema Cuben Fiber, use PSA tape (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive)
Thanks for the tour. You’re a special person to invite us behind the scene . Love to see how things are made .🤘🏼
Which brand/make/model of torch do you use within the complete version please?
I would like to know that too, did you find out?
Very nice! When will these be on your website? I can feel another order coming on.
Really nice, construction looks extremely strong.
Looks like a great design for a pouch! I was very impressed with the Anker power bank case (charge lite) I bought off you a few weeks ago. Is there any plans to make one for the Anker PowerCore 15000 Redux? Thanks👍🍺
Im looking to broaden the range but it will be in the new year now.
Looks to be a really solid accessory pouch 👍🏻👊🏻
SUL & right nice 👏🏻👏🏻
Don't know why I haven't subscribed before now, really like your gear, the wallet my son gifted me last Christmas is still being used.
Glad to hear it's.srill going strong.
@@treadlitegear1646 I just purchased 3 of your mk2 DCF lanterns. I plan on using them with Nightcore tubes ✌🏻 cheers from AZ, USA
@@hike2bhuman110 I've just put 2 and 2 together Donny 🤣. I'll get them out Monday for you. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and the weather picked up. I'll drop a red tinted bag in for you too.
@@treadlitegear1646 Thank you, yes it was a very good and thankful day. 👍🏻 Will be looking forward to the post. Cheers
sweet! grabbed myself one & some other bits.. perfect timing & just what i needed. cheers
i'd have been interested to see the pocket clip in action and is it possible to DIY mask some of the LED's (i'm guessing on how the torch looks) with cellophane or something for red light?
You could probably add some photographic gel film to tint it but would need to keep an eye on temps. Pocket clip is nothing mega fits neatly to the light and slides on.
27 gramms not Oz its sub 1oz

so they will work with trekking poles?
They are designed to fit tent poles or walking poles. I was indicating they are not for when you are walking but rather once you have set up your tent. They will fit pretty much any pole
