A surprise snowstorm hit the Colorado front range 12/15/15, and this was the morning cold start on my way to work.
why did BMW decide to discontinue this part, just amusing I had to find one it was hard to find but someone did have it and I been just waiting for it hopefully this genuine BMW part is solid and lasts long since aftermarket Amazon one was really poor and stopped working in less then a month period of time was very disappointing but the part you showed seems to be the right part and is what you truly need to fix the auxiliary problem for the e46 2002 September + thanks for the video

Thanks for showing how to install an aux cable without drilling holes for a permanent install. I'll be happy to not have to modify any plastic pieces to get this done. Cheers!

@@AutoXfreak my brakeline took a sh!t. Passenger wheel is spitting fluid like its mad at me lol. Went to oreillys.. not in stock but I found one that'll be here tomorrow. Hope its as easy as the aux lol. I LOVE my e46. (At least it looks awesome!) Lol
do cheap cables work or i have to buy the bmw made one??

Yes, this car has the HK sound.
I have done it but it does not work for me i have a 2003 it just don't say AUX on the display

Brandon Rotterdam I think you need a later model (2003 or newer) Business CD radio for it to work.
Are you using the paddle shifters to shift?
I did. The only way to use SMG!

@@AutoXfreak certainly worked! Had a few issues because of my CD changer but the trim and radio removal was a breeze after watching this :)
My radio dont have this buttom mode...it just has scan and CD...does it work on this radio then or I need to get another radio
