Of all things I’ve had bad allergic reactions to, it is many different antibiotics, and multiple allergy medications.

While having a tooth root pulled this past Monday, and a bone graft placed, I had some chest pressure/discomfort. Before telling the dentist and assistant, I did a mental assessment of myself. Because the pains eased up (left arm pain hadn’t. I had surgery on my left shoulder 07/30/2020 for fractured humerus), I didn’t tell the doctor as I improved. I deal with chronic chest pains due to Gastroparesis with daily nausea and vomiting.

CPR should be started on a firm surface such as floor... On a dental chair it's not efficient enough because the chair moves when pressure is applied. But the series of videos is good. It was helpful for me.. Thank you for the effort

I’d rather have an ambulance and not need it than need an ambulance and not have it.

You know this is an act right? They say more then they would normally say since this is only a demonstration.

You obviously don't wok in a dental setting otherwise you'd understand the difficulties in accessing the thigh in this situation. Delay in getting to the skin of the thigh delays the life saving Adrenaline. Only EpiPen needles are designed to go through clothes and since the dose is incorrect for an adult other methods of IM injection are needed. Deltoid muscles are easier to get to in this setting. You are also missing the interpretation of the word - recommended - it doesn't mean 'only' and the guidelines don't state anywhere you should use the deltoid. Many drugs in the NHS are given daily in the deltoid.

Important to note that P.21 of the Resus Council Anaphylaxis Guidelines state that "The best site for IM injection is the anterolateral aspect of the middle third of the thigh". Deltoids not recommended.

In the UK dental patients undergo a health care questionnaire before treatment, where allergies and new healthcare issues are discussed. It's therefore in the patients notes. Also this video is part of a training package and only part of a full day training course on Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice. As it states at the beginning this video does not replace the whole course.

Im researching as I am hoping to start nursing ... im wondering if it is normal practice to automatically administer aspirin without asking the patient if they are allergic to Non steroidals ?
