What a far cry from Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama! The man from Kiuva has just been found guilty of a serious crime by the way. Agent 012

@yourlocalKVT yeah I heard that he was wanting to sell Fiji to England without letting anyone in Fiji know...then on his way to england in 1958,he disappeared and they never found the body and some people believe that it was our vu(fijian god)
Yep he was also a Vu..god
I’ve never heard his voice before until now 😳

Much of his work was possible through the help of Rusiate Nayacakalou ! The first EVER Pacific islander to graduate with a Phd
Rusiate was without doubt a fine anthropologist and scholar, but I think you over- state the case when you say "much of (Sukuna's) work was possible through (Rusiate's) help". Rusiate returned to Fiji in 1964 to implement certain recommendations of the Council of Chiefs. By this time, the NLTB had been in existence for 24 years (Native Land Trust Act 1940 Cap 134) under Sukuna's tutelage. In 1969 Rusiate became Manager of the NLTB. His death at the early age of 45 was a sad loss to Fiji and Fijians.
I wonder why this early Fijian scholars died at a very young age. Nayacakalou died at the of 45 and also Ravuama Vunivalu died at the age of 44. Vunivalu was 2nd Fijian to graduate from a University. 2nd to Ratu Sukuna.
A great man! I'm really thankful for this video!
