Thank you! Christmas is coming 😱😅
I am a healing facilitator originally learning energy work via Jikiden Reiki training. It is great that this is being used through somatics. I first learned of somatic experiencing just a few years ago when a family member was diagnosed with ptsd and it was recommended for them.
Thanks for sharing. Years of being massage therapist I have worked on some who's self described traumatic experience was stored in their body. For example a man presenting with sacral shift and trigger points indicating injury to the area. But no complaint of simply their for full bpdy relaxtion due to moving furniture spasms in arms and back. Since none are the same but body gives indicators of injury current past or from early years. Once to the area though forgotten and not main complaint. The client was asked what doctors have evaluated the area or any mention of it. A male in his 50s began speaking of his most embarrassing traumatic experience in high school and wanted to know how I knew. His experience was playing basketball as a teen with all eyes on him and landing on his bottom break9ng his tailbone and the prolonged embarrassment after feeling he was the losing factor for his entire team. As well as the weeks of sitting on a donut while feeling completely ashamed and humiliated further by the injury. Releasing the area and retraining the area to hold properly was empowering along with lifelong pain relief. The pattern in the area simply presented itself. Due noted was prior to laying down the statement moving furniture was a pain in the ass was also indicative of held pain. Interesting work mind body connection.
When you can't sit in a chair without pain, or being aware of pain. When you can't breathe properly because your breath stops. When you can't just sit in audience either, because you have needs no one understands in how to deal with it. When you have major dramas to deal with and no one will listen to you or interact with you and you sit alone and you need help. People go, just do this.....and they don't realise that you are disabled and cut off from doing that, and everything needs modification. When the silence cries and you are aware of everyone and everything not just yourself. Somewhere along the line the physicality has to be addressed. For me, when you can't access medical treatment, because the doctors believe you are imagining it, or you have something that is just beyond them and you learn how to heal yourself. When it all hurts and therre is no help and support. When there is just no one that will go out of their way to listen. Just sit on your chair....I have a disabled bottom, makes sitting difficult. There is discomfort, there is distress and there is upset, not just mine...there is no comfort. When its everywhere and in everything. How to deal with it, manage and cope....you learn because you have no choice. The chair support hurts, laying in bed hurts, walking hurts, it all hurts and then it stops because it goes numb and then the cry of grief comes it comes and there are no more tears left, just silent crying of the whole. Just notice....somewhere along the line action needs to be taken. Serenity comes and brought back into acceptance But somewhere along the line there needs to be physical treatment.
thank you so much for sharing super valuable <3
You're so welcome!
If someone isnt stuck in fight or flight or freeze can this work be beneficial? I want to work on releasing traumas that happen in day to day life and trauma that i dont know about. I also want a regulated nervous system. Thankyou xo ❤🎉
Yes, one of the purposes of SE is to support the autonomic nervous system in getting back into a more natural and unimpeded flow, regardless of the cause of dysregulation. Because SE doesn't rely on narrative to heal, the SE practitioner is able to help your body renegotiate trauma, whether you consciously remember it or not (the body remembers it in implicit memory). So those little day-to-day traumas (things that overwhelm your ability to cope) or traumas that don't have an explicit memory can still be healed. Thank yo

Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
Thankyou. So so helpful and healing😊😊
Glad it was helpful!
Please use a microphone, i really love your contents but its hard sometimes to hear what you are saying...😊
Thanks for the suggestion, @bainbridgetimbaci9067.
Lots of valuable information, but I would have captured it easier if presented slower. 🥰☮️
Thanks for the feedback!
I perched initially, then when I settled in my thoughts calmed I felt a wave of sadness and started to cry. I'm doing some deep healing work at the moment so it's not too surprising to find that under the surface.
I'm glad you were able to notice that underneath. I hope it is helpful to your healing process.
Thank you 🙏 ❤ love your calming presence
Thank you, @franzi6823.
Yes ! 🙌 I always say acceptance is something I can manage. Not forgiveness.
We're glad this resonated with you!
Love your soothing voice. Great videos.
Thank you so much!
Thank you. So true 💕
You are so welcome
Run from the crazy doctors
Well, everyone should be discerning in their choices of healthcare providers. I find many of the best doctors are trauma-informed and make referrals to therapists and other providers who offer effective therapies and treatments for trauma.
Trauma from the church _ Jesus got this_ forgive and let the pets out.
I'm glad you found a way to forgive, @tmking7483, and I hope life is feeling lighter for you.
Thank you this helps me feel more grounded.
I'm so glad, @caramelunicorn8023!
🙏❤️
You're welcome, @franzi6823
I felt heavy and then some panic
This is information from your nervous system. Finding an SE practitioner could be helpful with shifting some of those patterns. Here's the directory: directory.traumahealing.org/
Great information! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this clear explanation. You have no idea how grateful I am to hear exactly why I have been sick with CFS, Fibromyalgia, and now Long covid too. I am 55 and have been sick since I was 18. I always knew it was from trauma but I didn't really understand why. ❤❤❤
You are so welcome, @kathyforeman5603. I'm glad it was helpful to you.
Thank you 🌸

You’re welcome 😊
I thought 5 techniques were supposed to be shown. I knew this technique before, it's the only one i got shown for a whole year, since i am in somatic experience therapy. Is that all there is?
Hi @erobird3403. I'm sorry to have caused frustration. The video is the first in a series, so the 5 techniques got sprinkled through several videos. If you go to the video section of our channel, the videos right around this one has additional techniques.
thanks for this. I have 8/10 on ACE and have adrenal gland disease. I kind of think it’s linked
Yes, I would agree @sbren777 - there's a good chance it is linked. Somatic Experiencing might be helpful. You can find a practitioner here: directory.traumahealing.org/
I couldnt find a Plesant thing to look at - i Got brougt back to My childhood Home and i feel very uncomfortable now
I'm sorry that happened, @milleabel. Might I suggest trying noticing one sensory aspect of something that is pleasant to you: the smell of fresh baked bread, the sound of your favorite piece of music, the tactile feel of water moving on your skin when you're swimming, the taste of a piece of fine dark chocolate, etc. Savor the memory of the experience for just a few seconds. Don't allow yourself to go into the full memory - just stay with the chosen sensory aspect. Do this exercise over time - building the time by a bit each time. Notice what happens in your body as you savor the sensory experience. I hope this helps!
Wow, love this!
Great! Glad you like it.
Thanks, @kjbrocky!
Thank you a lot! It's very grounding and I felt more "alive"! 🙏
Wonderful!
You're so welcome, @hazansahnaoglu!
Wow was not anticipating where you were going with this. I’ve never felt peace around that part of my trauma before or felt like I was viewing it from the outside. Every other time I’ve remembered it, I was trapped in it. Thank you for this. I’m looking forward to trying this with other memories. ❤
I'm so glad it was helpful, @TakeMeToYourLida!
That's fantastic, @TakeMeToYourLida! Thanks for letting us know.
thank you.
You're welcome!
My pleasure, @melanietempleton2605.
Thanks...very grounding and helpful. I am actually a percher especially when I sit and eat..so glad you made me aware of that..
Glad it was helpful!
only 36 days??
Not sure what that means?
thank you for saying go as low as your register allows - that's been the missing part for me. did this, can't stop yawning! yay
Thanks for your patience with my reply. I suggest doing the Voo sound in a limited way (e.g. just once daily) to see if that can help with the yawning. You might also invite your system not to yawn to see what might emerge instead. If the yawning persists, I recommend working with an SE practitioner to uncouple the yawning from this gentle stimulation to allow what is undercoupled to emerge to be renegotiated.
@@lifecarewellness-IL thank you for replying I thought yawning was good? engaging parasympathetic mode? or are you saying there's more stuff underlining it? I'm actually in a very bad state my CNS started to fail about 5 months ago it was catastrophic. system hasn't been the same since. I am on strong meds to be able to sleep. body been in flight fight mode too long
You are awesome! Thank you!
Happy to help!
Good luck on your move, b safe.
❤
was amazing thank u
Glad you enjoyed it!
It’s like blowing a dijarudu horn….pretty cool, it’s like pushing the exhale
Glad you connected with this.
creative but very profound effect of this technique, now we are talking, I like this much, thank you
Glad you like it!
Thank you for reaffirming this self hug for me because I occasionally practice it, now I will practice it more regularly for now I know I don’t have to wait for hugs that may not be coming anytime soon😂
I'm glad it's helpful to you!
I noticed how I am not allowing the pleasant experience to support me in the moment; I am so fast forward😂…too planned out, don’t like the hidden tension in my body and diaphragm, thank you…I am aware
First I want to acknowledge your calm demeanor delivering your topic. I’ve viewed a couple of your videos and you remain consistent. Thank you. This is appreciated because I’m in a hyper state of fear not knowing what’s wrong with me. Other videos playing music background with exuberant personality or just exuberant personalities trigger more discomfort for me. I have been searching for tools to help me heal from my trauma from both parents. Paternal molestation. Maternal narcissistic abuse. Maternal narcissistic ran through 2020 when she finally died at 96. I’m 71. Been under the care of a psychiatrist for 30 years with medication management that doesn’t serve me anymore. Brain surgery in 2018 to remove a benign tumor front right temporal lobe. 3 years ago I started weaning from klonopin 2mg - currently at .5mg. Anxiety has increased. Psychiatrist suggested going back to dosage to reduce anxiety and fear. I replied,no. I worked too hard to get to .5mg. I’m weaning without direction or clear information about benzodiazepine harm. I had my 4th Moderna shot. My Hashimotos was not responding to medication management. A pulmonologist put me on prednisone for a month to jump start my depleted energy level. I switched up my 2 mile bike ride to 12 mile and my insomnia got worse. Then chronic fatigue set in and I’m bed bound I haven’t been able to find any medical help to unravel these variables that bring me to my current debilitating shutdown. What is it? MECFS MONDERNA vaccine injury Benzodiazepine weaning I have the following doctors Primary Endocrinologist Pulmonologist Cardiologist Psychiatrist No answers to what I just wrote. How do I find support?
I had a family practice suggest this & it toned down a extreme panic attack to the point i could at least think to get myantianxiety med & my words not explaining well This does help you get a grasp so you can think a bit....
My anxiety extreme so can't hold breath & not deep but gotta start somewhere I'm miserable, cortisol been flowing from a main line water break for ??12 years & it's eating me alive
The only thing we can do, @fxrivrgirl, is start where we are. When I started doing the Voo sound, I could only go for a very short time because of low lung capacity, and I could only feel the vibrations down to my upper chest. My long capacity still could use some work, but I can feel the Voo vibrations down to my pelvic floor now. So a little practice - even one time - every day could move you in the right direction.
So, practically, how we do that? Focusing on one spot or the breath or what?:thnx
there are several ways to meditate: focus on an image, on a word or mantra, on a sound, on a breath and other. I think you'd get more understanding and clarity through other videos with me on meditation.
Nice reminder.
Hi when I use Peter Levine's version for sound + mouth open and close. Then multiple vibrational sounds are created that vibrate from belly to throat. I find myself gagging and sometimes throwing up. Does this mean that the energy is released?
Peter Levine theorized that completing incomplete self-protective responses can discharge fight/flight arousal energy trapped in the nervous system. Whether or not that is happening as a result of you using the Voo sound is not something I can ascertain. I'd encourage you, @piekie1986, to work with a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who could help you work this through - and perhaps titrate the experience so it's a little more manageable. Search the practitioner directory at traumahealing.org.
