What year was this
Those were the days 1974 thru 1977

this was after 75 that's when c94th got the a1s I was there from 74 to 78 i was there when we got the a1s
That was my youth and I wish I could go back to that time
As a teenager I always sneaked into Wildflecken when the Army was doing maneuvers and once I was discovered and a US tank followed me, but I was able to escape and camouflage myself, I kept going back and watched the American soldiers shoot them have, man, how often have I been up there and have taken a lot of things home with me when the Army is dead today, as I miss the Americans
it was such a nice time, i miss the us time in wildflecken, i grew up with the us army and how much i would like to go back, it was so nice, dear god, please let me go back

Locate the biohazard container
CURAHEE!!!
Sweet keyboard
I loved every second of that show! Thanks for posting!
Also I love that they closed with this song. It's my favorite - even more than Everlong .
Feels like that was a million years ago
+John Madia Yes it does!
Thank you, so much, for posting this, man. I was at this show and it was single-handedly one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever witnessed.
+drumart665 No problem, it was overwhelmingly awesome huh?
Wish we had gone. Great video man!
My Dad was 1SG of the battery from 1970-1973, 1SG Paul Greer. Some time during that period the battery set a "Hip Shoot" record. It was reported in the Berlin Observer, but I've misplaced my copy. Can anyone tell me where it would be documented? Thank you, Paul Greer Jr, son. PS- the rest of the story: Dad went on to retire at Ft Hood TX after achieving the rank of CSM.
I should know your dad, can you contact me?
I was there when we set the world record Hip Shoot in Graf. Your Dad had a pair of German Boots he would wear every now & then. The Chief of Firing Battery was Ramero Jemenez, who sadly is buried across from the 4 Ring Parade area, i played Taps at his funeral. Don't know where it would be documented, but we did set the world record. Your Dad was a great 1SG.
SSG Louya, Longange @ Ft. Campbell, Ky. He was Acting Platoon Sgt for FSC 3-187. 3BCT. 101st ABN Div (AASLT).
I was there from 1976 to 81 that is DBC, My 109 was the Zehlendorf. Joseph Chambers
Hi Chambers, I believe I remember you. Do you remember Jose Irby? I am Della, his then-girlfriend.
I was in C-94 from late '78 to mid '83. Judging from the markings on the vehicles I guessing this footage was shot somewhere between '75 and '78. The district names on the turrets were moved to behind the travel locks on the gun tubes and the I.D numbers were changed to black during that time period. I can't make out any faces I recognize so it was before I got there.
I was in C94 the same time .
Hey Tom, I don't know if you remember, but in August, 1981 my unit C Btry, 1/14th F.A. from Garlstedt W. Germany replaced your C Btry for 1 month, can you tell me where ya'll went and what you did during that time, and did ya'll railhead out of there or were M109A1's assigned to ya'll on the other side, thanks
it was after we got the a1s in 75......
My Btry from Bamburg FROG, replaced this Btry in 82 or 83 . We were in Berlin for 4 months, took over two months for our Guns which were rail headed at Bamberg to reach Berlin, we had the M-109A2, when we picked them up in Berlin, or comrades, had a good look, meaning every gun was opened equipment moved not replaced , Russians tried to make it look like no one touched them, Berlin was wonderful , East Berlin well i hope we never forget what happened in Germany. My Bn Commander was LTC TOMMY FRANKS, Gen Franks gulf war 2, great leader
Hey Nun Ya, my unit from Garlstedt too, replaced the 94th F.A.for a month in Aug 1981, Berlin was wild, 10 girls to every guy. we had to cherry juice our M109's to make them shine, got to see the goose stepping Germany, lets talk sometime, oh and Tommy franks was my Divarty commander in Fort Hood in 89, I believe.
This video was taken in Doughboy city. 100% for sure. I was an Army brat and lived on Osdorfer Strasse the street Doughboy city was located on. We lived aprox 3/4 mile away from the city and wall as they shared a border. We would watch the tanks and other tracked vehicles travel from the motor pool out to the city weekly. At 2:20 you can see apartment buildings in the background. Those buildings were built in the late 70's and are a fixture in the skyline in Zehlendorf.
In 1982 or 83 my unit A Btry 2/78th FA went to Berlin to replace the Btry there so they could train at Graff, we were from Bamburg, man what a shock in Berlin or enemy was or friend, we got to go into The East, tobad people today cant see what and how the people were surpresed, no liberty, may be our so called leaders should watch or read the history more, cause we are headed to a life as the East Berliners had, impeach obama, o all u so called educated know alls so i cant spell, but you get my point
hey do people still play this game? and also is there any sorts of mods and bullshit for extra things or is the core game just awsome?
The LVC-IA is an "architecture" being developed to link Live, Virtual, Constructive and Gaming Training capabilities allowing limited interoperability across those training environments. One of the focuses of the Army currently is to improve the commander's ability to provide high quality training to his units at home station. This saves tax payer dollars and provides more training opportunities than would otherwise be available to the commander. As you can imagine, planning, preparing, and executing a live training event can be very expensive. With the ability to conduct training without leaving the installation the LVC-IA is intended to fill existing training "gaps" and save tax payer dollars while helping the Army maintain a state of readiness in it's ability to react to our nation's call with highly trained, adaptive, competent, Soldiers, leaders and units.
Nice video. Thanks for the post Brian.

Love these videos! Great footage of emplacing the guns! Makes me want to make an aiming circle for Arma2 and then I'd have everything for a full arty battery setup (well almost :P).
Do you know of any long (15+ minute) videos like this? Would be interested in seeing how VBS is used. I'm an arma2 and milsim nerd.
