little video on how to build a lip jig for crankbaits and for some reason it has a slow motion part in it and it's not full screen like it should be and I have no idea what's going on....lol I'll redo it and add a better one.... seems to happen a lot to me. guess I need to start reviewing it before hand......

It's a rubbing technique with dry paper to get the affect... Still trying to get it down....lol...
What kind of lips do you use
Both ... Polycarbonate or circuit board...
Have you tried KBS Diamond Clear? I spray it on mine and don’t have to spin. I only spun the baits when I used epoxy. Same with auto clear. No need to spin. Just hang to dry. Nice baits. You’re quite the craftsman. I can paint but not so hot on the bait making.
I want to make my own crankbaits but don't have all the proper tools needed. Is it easier to do a flat side lure and round (router) the edges? I want a simple lure I can make with basic tools
Flat side baits are good to start on with basic hand tools
What about lure lips? When you get to this level as a maker do you cut your own or still buy from a supplier.
Some I'll make by hand...as of right now I'm buying some...but after I learn the CNC machine I'll be making in house 100%

Alvin, I want to thank you for your videos. You put out some great information that I'm sure a lot of other bait builders don't appreciate you putting out. Now, I have a question for you. Did you make those lead weight molds?
Yes...you can get from Amazon Cut in half...drill and bolt together..then mark your holes...start with a small bit and work your way up to the size you need
