Thank you for posting this video. My bathroom has the same standing waste pipe (Pre-war building). Having issue with bathtub not retaining the water....I guess the pipe is disconnected? How can I resolve this...?

I suspect something the pipes are rubbing against.

There is something charming about these standing waste pipes assemblies next to the tubs as good old-fashioned decor. I saw one in person when i was very young in my Grandmother's pre-war apartment in Queens. My eyes always went to this thing.

Anytime I have somebody working inside my house I drop the temperature to 65. I hate to sweat when I’m working , wow inconsiderate people.

And the cool thing is there was ball valves under the sink. A lot of times. We run into those faucets out here with no shut off.

All that moldy drywall (the front and back side) and sill plates and sheathing/siding need to be replaced.

Be honest, did you have to use any shims afterwards? I usually have to shim a toilet 90% of the time with a new flange or not to not have it wobble.
