Davey’s got a new guitar?!
Sounds just like the live album note for note, what a great performance by Joe ,Jim and Dale!
Just seen them in Harrisburg PA ... I REALLY HOPE THERE IS A NEW ALBUM COMING
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽❤️👏👏👏👏👏
It's so cool to hear him go from Closet Queen into Ravel's Bolero, genius. I'm 68 and Rides Again is one of my favourite records. Joe's in good form. So are the rest. Funk 49 has to be one of the best guitar riffs out there.
Joe Walsh & Jim Fox nach all den Jahren einfach immer noch so gut liebe James Gang rides again
after all these Year love the James Gang
What a Gem !
1990s was the best🎉
Classic Vintage Rock.. not to forget their albums with Tommy Bolin. One of the best rhythm sections in rock history. Mainly because of the drummer - Jim.. one of the very best
Wow, the energy, that show must've been electric and wild 😴
Such a badass show! I was probably standing right behind you 😂
@@davepursh6953 I finally got to see Fu Manchu!
@@dcut75YES 🤘🏼 Going to see them again in October here in EU . Second time this year . Lost count how many times over the years 😬. They never disappoint, always on fire live . Only difference I see is the crowd is way more wild over here .Cheers
@@trgv70 As much as I love stoner rock, it’s a little sad how few SR bands I’ve seen live. That was the first time seeing Fu, and I never saw Kyuss. As far as the energy, they were the opener for the Clutch/Rival Sons co-headliner show that had shockingly low ticket sales. Clutch usually sell this venue out and I’d bet it wasn’t at half capacity. I don’t know if people weren’t into Rival Sons being on the bill or not. I personally am not a fan, and wouldn’t have gone if Fu wasn’t playing.
@@dcut75 I’m not a rival sons fan either and that sounds weird they were opening for them …which also means they probably played a short set. Didn’t get to see Kyuss ether but was lucky enough to catch vista chino while it lasted
@@dcut75 ua-cam.com/play/RDmeKJa_DxZw8.html&playnext=1&si=qoEFXtzVHR9Zfb7Y Complete concert of Fu Manchu at freak valley 2022
You have just witnessed greatness people!!! Cherish this because once they are gone, you will never see this type of stuff again.
I was at that concert, they were so good, hate to see them disband, it was a great night!!
@@debkroeger946 hell yeah. Sucks it's over but, we may have been lucky enough to see the last ever performance of The James Gang. I never thought I would get to see them but to be at their last show? History.
Man you could boogie with Funk #49
Is this the original lineup if so it's very impressive I wasn't the biggest James Gang fan but I always respected them and liked their songs Joe Walsh has been so long standing in his professional career it's amazing to see
@@riggedreality420 pretty much the original lineup. Tom Kriss left the band very shortly after recording the first album and was replaced by Dale Peters. That's the most popular lineup, and the one you see here.
Love them in 1969 - Stark County Fair Grounds - Canton, Ohio. What a ride it has been! THANK YOU JOE! AND THANK YOU FOR HANGING AROUND!
The James Gang was the best band of the 70s, Bar None!
still sound great...the greatest rock trio ever
Joe Walsh voice is amazing and what about Jimmy Vox incredible drummer my favorite live drumming performance of all time 1971 BeatClub ua-cam.com/video/zo0vBdlWQs0/v-deo.html
He gives back
I'm old
@@montewold2223 aren't we all
I remember when Pete Townshend said Joe Walsh was one of the best guitarists currently out there. (This was back in '69) Any guitar player would be proud to include that on his resume. Bill Conwell ❤😂
53 years later...
Saw Joe with “The Eagles” a few years back. As far as I’m concerned the show only started when Walsh kicked out the jams w/ The fury of his James Gang Thunder. The man hasn’t lost anything. Long live the MothaFxxxxxx Bomber!
Joe Is one of the best pickers. Not vad for boomers
Joe gang ha ha ha 😂 super bon en 2022 je croyais qu'il ne jouait plus je parle de James gang ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
James Gang > Eagles.
Hell yeah!
AWESOME the GOAT of all times so BLESSED.😍🤩🤩😅
Hard to believe Joe wrote these songs like 50 years ago....
The James Gang, the first concert I attended. Memorial Stadium, Kansas City, 1970, high as a kite on pure cannabinol powder, those were the days... changed my life. 7 years later hung out with The Eagles in their manger's office on Sunset. Glenn put out a line of coke on the desk for me, but I was only into meditation at the time, so politely refused. Glenn had just come back to the office with his new softball shoes, he was so happy. He invited me to be a member of The Eagles softball team. I was living in Santa Barbara, so couldn't make the commitment. lol. So he called his favorite restaurant, The Pear Garden and made a reservation for me and my girlfriend to have dinner with his favorite chef, Freddie, a teppanyaki master. Years later my friend who was the coke dealer to the stars (believe it) said to me the reason Glenn liked you was because you turned down a line of the best coke in L.A.. Life, so interesting. Ya never know what's around the next corner.
That's a great story!
Love Memorial Hall in KC
Great show!
Well that sure is an awful recording...
Wish I could have been there. A+++++. Come to Maryland or Pennsylvania this summer, Joe and The Gang!!!! Please!
Vocal cords are still there no doubt…but he’s kind of morphing into Grandpa Simpson…
Watching this gave me the biggest sh*t eating grin and goose bumps all over ! ! ! ! ! ! !🎼🤙👍✌🎼
Veterans of the trade. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
he went from this to apologizing to serbs for the bombings what went wrong bidenbros?
In college I used to play lost woman at full volume What a band
The James Gang paired with some acid and acapulco gold was a colorful evening. Great memories!
like Cream without the dandy british pretension.
🤣🤣I love Cream but that's a perfect description of them AND James Gang!
i have found early james gang long jam recordings from late 60's that are very quicksilver messenger service. joe is a bit on the savant spectrum i suspect. absorb & master at alien speed. still doing it. @@dcut75
🤣🤣🤣TBH I always preferred Jimmy Fox over Ginger Baker…nice guy…and Ginger wasn’t always…🤷🏽♂😜🤣
James Gang Live at Carnegie Hall is, to me, one of the greatest live albums in rock history, especially considering the fact that it was recorded more than half a century ago and remains as powerful today as it was then.
So frickin awesome.
Please fossiles tell me how many of these guys were in the original lineup when I was just a little boy. I thought they were dead. Like Joe would have been without the boost with Eagles,,,
That is the most popular and well known lineup. Tom Kriss (r.i.p.) left the band in 1969 shortly after they recorded their debut album and was replaced by Dale Peters. Joe Walsh, Jim Fox and Dale Peters are on stage for this show.
Cool. You were right on the spot before I went asleep. It's six o'clock here (Europe) and my beer limit is done for the night.Thanks. Gotta put Bomber on anyway...@@dcut75
@@dcut75 do you know any details on Tom Kriss? I’d heard recently the reason he hadn’t talked for a month and wanted out of the JG was that his Dad had died badly during that period. It’s a mystery for those of us that liked him in ‘68, but Dale did a brilliant job.
@@stevenparker7946 I know very little about Tom. I read somewhere long ago that he was an intensely private person but that's about the extent of my knowledge on him.
I saw the James Gang Rides Again back in the early 70's and have 4 of Joe's Vinyls. I saw him once in the 70's 3 times since. Several years ago, he was touring with RIP ,Tom Petty. That was great. It's all about his comeback calling from rehab. The Gang was always Joe and nobody eles. He still uses his tube amplifier, which produces his unique sound. The tubes are coming back. Try it, you might like it !!!
Saw them a couple of times. Actually saw them open for Zeppelin in 69’ in Cleveland. Joe was at the top of his game. They wrecked the Zep!!! Plat on baby! 🖖🚀
Jag var där. Magiskt. Willie Nelson ++++
So glad to see them again
Love this band when they were in their prime. Joe sounds like he needs to give it up soon. Walk Away sounded a mess.
This is a great version.
