Wrecked at Uelvesbüll in 3D
Переглядів 1272 роки тому
The wreck was found in 1994 during construction work in the Uelvesbüller Koog, Nordfriesland, Schleswig Holstein, North Germany. It is a flat-bottomed dutch cargo vessel, which could also sail in shallow waters. The dendrochronological examination of the oak wood used in the construction revealed that the keel was laid around 1600. About twenty years later there was an accident off the Adolfsko...

music is great, thanks!!!
Sometimes I hate the redcoats.
Nice!! Great work!
👌
Relics of the deep. Great video.
Isn’t it considered a war crime to fire on an unarmed surrendered enemy fleet like the British did here? Sad that those German sailors died on their ships all because they did their duty and didn’t let their ships fall into enemy hands!! Most were off the ship but the crews that scuttled those ships may they rest in peace
Hello mates! I´ve been exactly there with my small Cat last year and I know the large sand bank. Did you have problems to sail against the west wind because you could not use the dagger boards in the shallow water?
Glad you visited and enjoyed your time in my beautiful country Scotland 🏴 do come again 🤿
Mooi om te zien
Wat is de naam van dit schip, is dit toevallig de KP88?
De voormalige TX44
@@harpel13Ah de TX44, bedankt!
Heel indrukwekkende 3D beelden! Hoe is dit gemaakt?

Fantastic job!
A talk through would have been more helpful.
Hi Ernie, Thanks for sharing your videos on the Nacra 5.5. I'm thinking about buying one myself. I'd be happy to have your thoughts on solo sailing with this cat. What are the winds limits and sea state to ride solo from your experience. Thanks for your feedback! Phil
HAllo. Ich liebe Gozo und die TAuchspots. Aber leider gibt es das Problem der komplizierten Wege zu den Spots. Da kommt Blue Hole und Azur Windows leider nicht mehr in Frage. Euch allen GUT LUFT.
I love MALTA and GOZO. the date was my 46th birthday. Weeks later I was allowed to dive there myself. The best Dive of my life
Is there a history to this boat ? As my father served in the Royal Navy in similar vessels in R.N. Coastal Forces during WW2.
It's a German police patrol boat from 1975. It has been stationed for many years near the German mudflats in the Waddensea around the island Norderney.
did the german ships have ordinance on them? why were they permitted to have it?????
it was a british fraud if these ships had not sunk they would have to have been turned over to other victorius powers italy, japan, US and the brits had no desire to do so as it would hurt naval balance of power so they leave for day and OOPS the german ships sink themselves
Not quite Vassiliki, but good fun. 👍
Still the best Scapa video out there. Inspirational.
Dived there in 97 from Blackpool BSAC My deepest dive to date on air 57m Silly but a lot younger and fitter
Technique, manually grab the main sheet bundle just below the upper blocks and physically swing the main to the new tack while gybing. This takes a lot of load off the main sheet and rigging. Less chance of hitting someone with the boom as well since you're timing the gybe. The boom will have a gentle swing and a lift right before the main gybes. That's your key to swing the main over. With a tiny bit of practice, you can load up your arm, swing the sheets and unload your arm, smoothly releasing the mainsheet as the wind fills the sail. You can also keep the man sail powered longer and smooth out your gybes. I no longer sail cats so this technique may no longer be in vogue. I had two Sol Cats, a Prindle 16 and a Nacra 5.8 WAY back when I was a young buck.
How deep is this?
again great video,great memmories
My grandfather supervised the Italian pow at lambs Holm chapel when being constructed. I'm a keen padi scuba diver living on the sunshine coast qld Australia. I think it would be great to visit scapa flow and dive there.
great!
Waar js dat
Hoe kan je je stuur nou zo vasthouden met mountainbiken 🤷♂️
how heavy do you have t be to pull the 18 back up do you think ?
Interesting. An Australian uncle was lost over the North Sea while returning from a bombing raid on Emden in a Wellington. I've often wondered if the wreckage will ever be found: richmedfilmbooks.blogspot.com/2019/03/what-happens-when-missing-ww2-warplane.html
Thank you for posting this. I have been diving for over 40 years and Scapa Flow is certainly on my list of places I would like to see. In my opinion, for wreck diving, the two top sites in the world are Truk and Scapa Flow.

The filming is so good I won't even try to find fault

The music was a distraction from what could have been a good piece!
In lockdown in U.K. I really love the beautiful warm light, zing of the cold, oumph of the rushing air, openness, colours. Brightened my day ! Thankyou for filming and sharing :)
Ridiculous music !
I dived the wrecks back in 1996 and to be honest was a bit underwhelmed as many of the ships have been salvaged and what’s left of them is a tangled unrecognisable courtesy of Cox and Danks salvagers still it was an interesting experience.
The remains of an Avro Manchester bomber have sunken into the sands of the Ameland beach.
From the war to end all wars 😐
WO2? My Dad flew in these in 1942.
RIP to the crew 😢🌹🌹🌹
Can it be retrieved or is it too damaged to be anything more then a grave site.
I joined the RAF because of these brave men, I was only aircraft ground crew, later selected for pilot training. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning......we will remember them” Per Ardua Ad Astra guys!
Massive respect from an ex-Army guy.
Very interesting. There were Wellington's based here at Dumfries, Scotland, in WWII, so they're especially important to us here. As for the brave crew of this featured aircraft: We will Remember them, we will Remember them.
is that royal oak
I was wondering why the guy behind was a giant and the other so small...but that's depth for ya.
