Part 2: The Strange and Mysterious Circumstances of Thelma Todd
An honest and frank look at a true Hollywood legend, who seemingly led a somewhat reckless life, which caught up with her at far too young an age. I believe 'The Ice Cream Blonde' still would have met an untimely demise - in a similar descent to Jeanne Eagels' - if she hadn't died the way she did. Thelma's and Jean Harlow's stories are among the most poignant of the blonde sex symbol tragedies perhaps primarily because they were both regarded highly as genuinely kindhearted individuals. I'm looking forward to the next installment. 👌👍💖
Outra coisa que me irrita é mania de se abreviar tudo. Ou colocar letras dos nomes e punto. Meus pais me deram dois nomes que eu gosto muito. Não mederam nome avreviado como MJS. Ou qualquer abreviação irritante.
Get rid of that horrible music! Can’t watch you
I first saw Gone with the Wind when I was about or at least 8 years old, I was so caught up with the civil war era history and significance of the movie, with me living in and around Atlanta it has put a great inpact on my life , I have visited more civil war battle fields than you can imagine an have seen what it may have been like living in that time and having to face what the people had to go through with .Gwtw was my Mothers favorite movie and eventually became mine.😂❤❤❤❤❤
I have visited the site of Margaret Mitchell's grave site at Oakland cemetery back in 2022 near to Atlanta .
Muy buena forma de investigación. Me recuerda mis años de estudiante de periodismo. 👌💯
One of my very favorites. 🧡
Thank you,for sharing this information on Ms.Todd.
Fascinating woman but get the facts and names straight. George Hurl? George Hurrell Jezebel was a Warmer Bros. Film.
This was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen.
So beautiful and talented! One of my favorite actresses❤
A fantastically acted, beautiful love story. It captured my heart as a little girl when I first saw this movie, and it still does. ❤
Loved this video, thanks SO MUCH for sharing, one thing I would say, the background music is lovely, at times it's a teeny bit too loud and you can't the narration very easily
Sorry but I have been a follower of Miss Thelma Todd for years her brilliant talent first, her tragic passing last It was just an unfortunate accident There is no reason to assume any other
I just love her so much. I have a few photos of her in exotic gowns in her early days on my Hollywood Wall of Fame at my home. I do admire her work and her marriage, way to short, to Irving Thalberg. She is just beautiful and looked so wonderful in her gowns.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy her pictures very much. I'll always be a fan.
Once again, brilliant work - Nicole. As good as you are at research…I was wondering where this video was going to end up; Marvin J. Wolfe was the correct destination. I - too read the article be wrote, It’s stunning in it’s depth and breadth of detail. You managed to share the pertinent details and to add your own thoughts & research in an (absolutely) stunning fashion. Thank you for all your hard work. Thelma Todd thanks you…I’m quite sure 👍
Brilliant documentary. Your admiration for Thelma Todd showed in your work: the depth of research was mind boggling. 👍
I have always found Norma Shearer interesting and talented. She was a unique beauty. Great video! Was wondering what the name of the first song that played in the video is?
Turn the music down or off .!
Casted is not a word. The word cast is a verb. Simply say she was cast.
Love old Hollywood.
One of my favourites & the music score 🥰 gene tierneys beauty 🥰🇬🇧❤
My favorite movie of all time!❤❤❤
One of the top ten greatest films ever, free on youtube but avoid the colourized version.
The great Norma in Marie Antoinette ❤. What a great proformnce.
I'll ruin something of yours someday and it won't be your act
For all the wasted years I've been without you.
Carole was so great in this role. So funny. Powell is also the one who recommended her for the part.😊
Excellent job, thank you for sharing her story in a lovely way.
Thanks for this wonderful video of Norma Shearer. She was the favourite of many fans, including my mother. However, I must correct one misleading detail. You referred to Norma's romance with George Raft, (which lasted a year and a half), then mentioned his strict Catholic wife and showed a picture of Raft with actress Madeleine Pine and her own daughter. Raft remained separated from his wife for about 50 years until his death in 1980.
She sold her soul marrying into the Jewish faith .. no one mentions her when it comes to the golden era of Hollywood.
game over!
Every time this film comes on TV I've watched it, a time in her life spent with a ghost, rest of her time reminiscing of her past, the ending chilling as its true to life, one beautiful always to watch masterpiece..
The Marie Antoinette scene with the little boy 😢 - this actually happened on France and they treated the child with hideous cruelty 😔🥺 Shame on those so-called 'men'
Thank you!
She had a healthy looking body and a strong determination that must have kept her going on to reach her goals. She became whatever character that she played . Very convincing.🎉
I totally agree with you! ❤
She's so beautiful! No plain Jane . ...even with her eye issue she was pretty and talented. ❤😊
Norma overacted
I think she was a terrible actress and only got roles because of who she was married to I don’t see any talent in my opinion
I Love This Video Love Old Hollywood Love Her Thelma Todd Thank You For The Video On Her ❤❤
I'm pretty sure entrance into the Third Reich had a less rigid totalitarian disclaimer than the absurdity which occupies the first 30 seconds of this video. Fortunately, the narrator is able to set aside the woke garbage for a relatively on point analysis of one of the greatest accomplishments in modern cinema that is Gone With the Wind. - I hope this isn't taken as negative and will be tolerated lol.
Well done!
What an amazing and well put together documentary.
I appreciate how much actual acting work you show. We get to see the talent. Your videos are so thorough. Norma was another great talent from that era. She also seemed grounded and balanced. Thank you!
Thanks for this video on a forgotten celebrity from early film times. Too bad there isn't any material from those who knew her. It's impossible that so many people were so mean and horrible at one time over and over. I don't think it's harmless story telling to harm reputations for the sake of looking like a victim. There's enough of that going on today, and it isn't ok. I sympathize with Madge on many levels because she just couldn't quite get it, and her pain seems real. However, I don't admire her, don't see much to call her a role model over. Imo.
Love this! I admire her at the same time she frustrates me. It makes me so sad that any time she was shown kindness she rebuffed it, and when someone treated her like her parents did, she thought that was love.
A Classic Movie not seen the full movie for a long time
One old Classic Movie I've seen it a couple of times but they don't show it anymore
Am lucky have it on dvd
She would of been a great Scarlett O’Hara.
