Great podcast guys and cheers for the shout-out! So true what you've said, there are so many ways a repair shop can improve reliability. Yes, it's up to the installer too, so many parts to a complete reliability picture. One of the most important things we find is to have a standard to work to, and keep to it. An emergency repair should take the same amount of hours and minutes as a standard repair, that's where management and administration should take the pressure off the workshops. It's worth taking a look at the EASA accredited workshop scheme. The only third party audited quality scheme that I know about. Good luck with your workshop guys, hope to see you soon. Matt.

Lubrication isn't about quantity but quality, sometimes they apply a mineral-based grease in equipment that requires synthetic lubricant. What is the right oil viscosity, and viscosity index? What's the right soap? What's the right lubrication frequency? Amount of grease? Are they applying the right bearing? Has the bearing been assembled correctly, with the right residual clearance and procedure due to the type of bearing? There are so many questions about just this issue (Bearings) that it would need 10 more podcasts. Great job guys.
I'm waiting for more podcasts like this about industrial equipment reliability.
