It’s been 10 years since I did my first tattoo interview. For 53 yrs I didn’t care that I didn’t care about tattoos ? The only question I could imagine was … “ do I agree or disagree with a tattoo?”. My character was unable to imagine the question… What are tattoos ? Now 10 yrs later and 10k tattoo interviews later … the souls of men are writing their secrets on the sacred canvas of their skin . Whatever is going on , in the inside is migrating to the outside in permanent ink. It’s about holding space , allowing the deep to speak , being a trusted listener. I think I’m just getting started . I got my first tattoo when i was 17 and its a barcode. I got it because i was born different and i do not conform to the normal. My second tattoo is of a black widow and it symbolizes my attitude.
