Made to Shine's mission is to remind every single person they have a ministry. Ministry isn’t just for preachers and pastors, it’s the way you shine God’s light in all spaces He’s trusted you to take up. That means on your college campus, at the bar with friends on a Friday night, in your high school, or your corporate job. You are beautiful, you are worthy, you are made to shine.
MHTY SPECIAL: Engagement, Medical Scare, and the Messy Middle
I’ve been off social for a month now. As some of you have seen, this past month has been filled with medical challenges.
After coming off the high of an engagement, experiencing the news that I could potentially have bone cancer and/or an auto immune disorder was devastating- but man oh man, did I see God in the midst of all of those hospital appointments, blood tests, and bone scans like never before.
We got the news 3.5 weeks later that everything was cleared- the cells are not cancerous. This episode was filmed before the appointment that I was in the clear, to hopefully encourage you that there is still light in the messy middle.
I share this because you all will have seasons where life goes exactly the opposite of the way you thought- please don’t lose hope.
God’s light shines its brightest in the dark.

Allison was my first Glinda in February of 2020 (Columbia, SC) and I was VERY pregnant when I saw that performance. I often joke that seeing Wicked was the last fun thing I did before having a baby/quarantine. I will never forget her and Talia. They were incredible. I’m like your mom, I fan girl over Masey too, Masey came into my life at a time when I needed it, I saw her in “I’m not ashamed” and read her devotional, started reading some of the Bible with her, etc and she literally led me back to Jesus cause I was struggling in my life so bad. and I followed her for about a little more than a year, and then I finally met her at a monthly conference her now husband was doing (2018) and then she moved like 20 mins away from me and so 4 years later (2021), she spoke at my church. She’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met.

I’m 3:11 min in. Initially I was going to type .. why did this come on my yt feed? Then… I’m sooo deep into depression AND at the same time KNOW who He is and where he brought me from. I do not feel worthy. Not bc of wrong doings; but bc of the card I’ve been dealt. I have sooooooo many testimonies and still feel this way. So I look a lil forward to watch this.
