I don’t know how to short out this problem. Please more this ocean safe tips! Thank you

    Hi, I don't see any kitesurfing in the reef waves. Do they have a problem to launch from Los Charcos or Costa Teguise? That would be great😉

    • @windsurflabor4767
      @windsurflabor4767 11 місяців тому

      HOLA, Kites are not allowed to launch at Las Cucharas Beach and Los Charcos surroundings are to rocky. Kitesurfers on Lanzarote, there are really not many, would go to Famara which is a huge beach and there some space for Kitesurfing

    when you unhook on wave jumping?

    • @windsurflabor4767
      @windsurflabor4767 11 місяців тому

      Hola, if you are just about to start your first jumps in proper waves, I would recommend to unhook just approaching the wave. Too late and it will become a little to hectic, as you are already in full preparation for the jump, and might forget to unhook. Too early and you might loose speed, control and energy. Unhook, bend your knees to "load" your jump, body centered and off you go. on smaller waves that might be like 10 meters before hitting the wave, bigger waves maybe 20 meters. Once you got used to jump / fly, you don´t have too unhook. it is always the safer option and gives you more room to move gear, arms, legs. Hope that could help. All the best, Tom

    @rcggijzen Рік тому

    So, if narrow footstraps are no good for anything, not even control, when are footstraps adjusted too wide? In a jump you need to be able to hold on to the board by pressing down your toes and arching your foot against the top of the strap, right? So is that the limit to how loose or high you can set them?

    • @windsurflabor4767
      @windsurflabor4767 10 місяців тому

      Very tight footstraps are really not useful, but in Slalom Racing, feet all the way out on the rail they would def. be smaller than for Freeride, Freestyle or Wave. The correct height also depends on the discipline. In Freestyle wyou would adjust your FS even higher but more narrow(most Freestyle Boards already come with more narrow plug positions) so you can actually turn your foot inside the strap to avoid injuries. You keep control with the sides of your FS pressing the sides of your feet. Wave is similar, just not as extreme as in Freestyle. so two fingers inbetween your little, pinky, toe and the footstrap can be good as a max

    Hello, I learned to jump in starboard tack, but when it comes to port tack, I just can't. Unfortunately, where I sail most of the time now, it's mostly port tack. Recently I went for a jump and I almost killed myself. I landed hard sideway flat in the water, getting a really bad headache. I was wearing a helmet by the way. I feel very stiff in port tack. Any tips? Thanks

    Thank you SO much for this video. This is exactly what I am afraid about. I just started harness the past weekend and being an older beginner I have a heightened sense of fear about being caught under the sail. I did eventually practice in the shallow water, being in the fallen and prone position, and that helped build my confidence that even if your harness is still connected you can still get your head past the mast for air in most situations. If your harness line length is positioned correctly. But this is definitely a topic to pay attention to and I kept searching youtube for support.
