I loved the bit where he said he had a completed sound, without mentioning the completed sound was a worse version of a sound bought out a decade ago by someone, and he just stole it.

Ngl, the new album has almost completely devolved since Maria. It's 90% chanty nonsense, 10% actual black metal. It's not really for a fan of either styles. It's got one or two tracks that just about hit the mark, and the rest is entirely forgettable. It's almost as if they hurried to push it through the recording process to release while they were touring and before the OG Batushka is back and taking the headlines again with his own live shows and new material.

Would be great to hear more like Lamented Souls or similar. There hasn't been enough quality death-doom this millennium. One recent exception is Static Abyss' last album --excellent, but not as great as the earliest My Dying Bride with 8 min. songs and mix of doom and death metal tempos plus the dirty, imperfect sound.

Sleep Token are difficult to get into. I saw them live and was like.. "eh?" ..but now Aaron isn't singing with MDB in 2025.. WTF man! MDB barely go on tour anyway! Last time they came to my neck of the woods was 2016 FFS Aaron - try pointing the mic at the crowd during an MDB gig. We know the lyrics!! Interact with us more!

My family and Aaron's were next door neighbours in the `80s in the military quarters. Have known the family since primary school right through to secondary school. I am still in contact with one his sisters now. ♥
