    Oz Really? It’s absolutely crucial, requires shims and thread lock, but you didn’t show any of that? How did you install the muzzle break? Any tools required ? Like a wrench? Anyone can twist on the silencer body on, even if it was a left hand thread….

      @@michaelgates9072 installation of muzzlebrake, selection of shims, timing, is covered in Silencer Central videos in detail so I didn’t want to repeat that part. If I do a similar video for another model I will add it.

    I got my banish 30 gold almost a year ago. I decided today to mount it to my home defense .300 black out rifle. I spent almost an hour shimming and re shimming the muzzle break and still could not time it according to the "manual". When I followed the manuals advise (9 o clock position hand tight) there is no way in Hades I could torque the thing to 12 o clock. I had to settle for a 10:30 o'clock hand tight position.

      It won’t matter on small calibers. But for large calibers I believe you want the gases exiting as they ask to reduce muzzle jump at an awkward angle.

      Negative. Many reasons to go with silencer central over others and not necessarily just for this model. SC does all of your paperwork for you, offers payment plans, and have great customer service. I have the Banish 30 and can confirm quieter than my friends surefire. The QD of Surefire is nice, but not necessary.

    How long is the Banish muzzle brake? Two inches? I’m wondering if it was pinned, or welded, on a 14.5 inch barrel would it be long enough to make the overall length 16 inches. Is it even close? I can’t find specs on it anywhere. Thanks

    • @ozkhan5850
      @ozkhan5850 Рік тому

      They give you 2 Muzzlebrakes. Threads (1/2 x 28) and (5/8 x24). Length on both is about 1.5 inches. So for a 14.5” barrel you are looking at 16” total. They tell you to use a thread locker to put the Muzzlebrake on the barrel. Once it is cured, the muzzlebrake stays on the rifle barrel. You can then put the suppressor on and off as you wish. I use the loctite anti-seize thread lubricant on the suppressor so it won’t get stuck on the muzzlebrake when I need to remove it. All of this information is not covered properly in the videos and manuals by Silencer Central.

    Thread lock melts at 250-300°F you want rock set. It is water saleable if you need to remove the muzzle device, just soak in a bucket of water.
