Very nice video! I must replace some flaps inside, but I'm afraid how many things i can break and I'm postponing the work, but the time is coming... Good job!

Once you take the dash off, you are very close to removing the HVAC core that has all the flaps. Once you remove the dash, you'll have to take off the metal bar that goes across the front. To do this, unbolt the steering column and support it while it hangs down. Remove the 3 to 4 bolts or so on each side, then open the hood and in the firewall area is a triple-square bolt that needs to be unscrewed before you can remove the metal bar. Unscrew this and don't drop any spacers. You can now remove the metal bar. To remove the HVAC box, disconnect your AC expansion valve (US passenger side right) in engine bay, and disconnect your heater core coolant lines (US driver's side under the steering column). This should let you take the box out easily. When you reinstall make sure you align the little peg behind the box - I used a camera borescope to ensure they went in. Good luck!

It depends on how damaged the dash is. Probably best to replace it.

Hello my friend! Can I get the PDF with the instructions at the end of the video? I'm struggling with the steering wheel lock mechanism and I need to disassemble the steering column.

What was the reason to change dashboard and where did you get the 2007 dashboard? Is there a place maybe online you bought from?

Wanted to add insulation around the blower vent above the heater box. I didn't replace the dashboard - I just reinstalled my original one.

@@a9n8d7r6e5a4s3 was the air leaking out of the disintegrated foam causing low flow to come out of the vents? the airflow coming out of my vents isn't as strong as i think it should be. the motor, resistor, and dash electronics are good. I was wondering if it's a stuck flap or something.

@@jaxyuen6263 I think a stuck flap is most likely what it is. There are a few levers/links/bars that connect from the motor actuators to the flaps; I'd check these first. There's an obvious one in the US passenger's side above the left ankle you can check. Otherwise you'll have to dig deeper. A VCDS test of the HVAC will test all motors independently. Try this and if you don't hear the flaps moving, that's your broken flap.
