Fantastic running great video well done
Congratulations to Ben. It was great to chat with you all on the Moot Hall steps that night as I was about to do a leg one support. Look forward to meeting you again at the BGR club dinner next year. 👍
@@miniveloman3642 it was a great day. Glad you managed a successful round yourself. Sorry we could help as we were on the Paddy. It was great to meet you too 😀.
Congrats. Great effort.
Thanks very much
Sum up kids - just finished 24hr run and first thing you get ask “daddy I need to go to the toilet” 😂
@@swm2k2 haha, I didn’t hear it at the time but laughed when I heard it on the video. I felt really bad for not helping her bless her ❤️
Congratulations on getting round. We met on the last hill, whilst I was out on a recce. It was inspiring to see you both in such good spirits despite an awful night.
@@baboonruns3041 it was great to meet you. I hope your round went well. Thanks for the cheers at the end 😀
Hey, firstly well done 👍🏼... I've just came across yout channel. Im training for a Bob Graham attempt next May. The Paddy Buckley legs will be my main training ground (im Shropshire based so quite a drive to the Lake's)... Anyway, I saw you on your first recce of the Moelwyn leg, down by the slate mine ruins (think you asked me if i was familiar with the area - my first time on the Moelwyns at thay point) - I mention seeing you both in my Cnicht camp video. If you're up for it, I'd be up to meet up over in Snowdonia and get a few training runs over in Snowdonia on the Paddy Buckley legs.
Nice to hear from you. We are the opposite really. Mostly train in The Lakes but rarely get across to Wales. It was great to have some time over there over the last year as I used to be there so regularly. Keep us posted on how your training is going 😀
Fantastic run, congratulations. My own attempt was scheduled for May 2024, but will likely be next year now following a nasty chest infection. Can't wait to have a go at it!
Real shame on the timing of your chest infection. Hope you get out again soon and your round goes brilliantly 😀
Congratulations Nicky and Ben. Incredible effort to finish. It sounds as if it is quite a bit harder than the BG. I am regularly out on the fells with the first person to do the Paddy - Wendy Dodds and she took about the same time as you two to complete it. Here are a couple of selfies with Wendy and also with Paddy (from 8 years ago when he was still out and about on the fells in his late eighties).
Thanks Simon, that’s very cool. Great photos. We really enjoyed the day. Such a shame Matt couldn’t join us for the whole thing as we were hoping. Good excuse to get back over there and support him soon. Thanks again and hope you are well 😀.
Brilliant Video Nicky, inspirational.
Thanks dude. Really glad you liked it. Thanks for the content. It was great to have it 😊
Superb vid. I’m heading out 12th July if you fancy joining Nicky. After much chopping and changing I have landed on your plan too. 1100 start capel. It’s a super tough course, I’ll be delighted if I get round in one piece.
And well done again! Amazing achievement
@@jackcollo7738 thanks very much, I’m really glad you enjoyed it. Good luck in July, I’m sure you will have a great day. Thanks for the invite, but I’m afraid I’m away in Norfolk that weekend. Please let me know how you get on 😀.
@@jackcollo7738 thanks again. I hope you have an amazing day in the hills, and good luck again 😀.
Thanks very much. Same to you 😀.
He may well have been but not this one. The Paddy Buckley Round is the Welsh Classical Fellrunning Roynd. 61 Miles, 28000 feet of ascent. You don’t have to, but most fellrunners will try and complete it in under 24 hours 😀.
Looks like a great adventure! Memories the children will cherish for a long time to come I'm sure! Happy hiking!
Nice. Definitely on my list.
Thanks very much, I’m enjoying getting out. Best wishes to you too 😊
You are certainly putting in the big miles on the big hills. Best wishes.
Fantastic achievement. Well done.
Thanks very much, it was a great day 😀
Wow...really great video and well done Kate! I've been binge watching Lakeland 50/100 videos and came across yours. What a lovely family! I often say these types of events are terrible for spectators but you guys made it really work well. Your finishing picture made it look like you could go for the 100! Good luck to you all from Canada!
Love Blencathra, made even better with the dramatic music.
Nice one
Congratulations, well done 🎉
Well done! Great video and achievement! I'm doing the LL100 this year (in 2wks) and can't wait. Good to see Kate walking the next day as well. Great support from the family as well. What's next?
Nice run for you both,
Thanks, It was fun, we don’t often get to go out together 😀
Thanks very much, I’ll check it out
Great weather and great views. I've put a fell running comedy up on UA-cam if you would care to check it out. Good luck to you and your channel. Best wishes from north Lancashire.
I’m a road runner but I have to say that I absolutely loved it!
Did you do it on the same day ?
@@teammooadventures9608 yes, if took me just under 18 hours, which is longer than I expected but I practically walked the last 20 miles.
Well done for finishing. Amazing stuff
Great video and well done finishing what my daughter said was the most grueling of conditions she's so far faced in the 50 with so much mist, cloud and rain to deal with. Although I'm no runner myself it looks like a great experience and watching videos like yours inspire me to think 'never say never!' So will it now be the 100 next year?
Hi Paul, I will pass your kind words onto Kate as I made the video for her. I think Kate is thinking LL50 again and then perhaps a Bob Graham attempt 😀
