Very impressive! Good work. 😃
It is beautiful.
Love your Dojo house so much~ luckily got a visit today💘💘 hope to be here again I’ll hang out at this little house all day!
Thank you so much 🙏
Seeing you do this solo was so inspiring. I hope to build my own house one day. It turned out beautiful, you my friend are the man 🙏
As soon as I saw the joist hangers I thought what an insult to the Dojo.
This has been the best half hour of my day, amazing job. How many cups of coffee went into the making of this? And how many beers awarded after a good day's work? 😂 I hope you get to enjoy this for years to come
Osu!
Very like atmosfere and spirit of the place, of the school, of the teacher. Best wishes to all of you. From South Africa.🙏
This looks unbelievably good. Very well done 🙇♂️
Thank you
Hello love your dojo. ❤ Any way for you to share the plans to build a similar dojo? Thanks
Thanks for the nice comment, I didnt have any real plans just a small sketch but you can watch the whole build on our channel it may give you some ideas :). ua-cam.com/video/FJKO7aL6_wI/v-deo.html
That's amazing!!!! Thank you for this inspiring video.
Thank you 🙂
You should be proud of yourself, that's a nice job. I think it's the best self built dojo on UA-cam
Thank you for you nice comments 🙂🙏
I love your unconventional methods for creating the shoji doors' framework and the structural foundation for the bamboo rails in the circular window. Very nice final product as well! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you 🙂
Thank you 😊
Such a beautiful place! Congratulations for doing so well! Now i am motivated to do a same project! Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you 🙂
great video you have excellent taste in your hotel choice and venice is beautiful, enjoy
Looks great! What kind of wood did you use for the shoji doors?
Just normal 12mm ply, same wood as all the wall panels
You're the man! Incredible workmanship
Thank you 🙂
my step ladder is not my real ladder. where's yours?
Beautiful, I plan to build a private/ family dojo one day too. Thanks for the encouragement ous!!
Thank you so much for the video. Stephan ni rei! Oss!
Amazing!!! 👏👏👏Thank you for sharing
congratulations Amazing 🎉
I found some beautiful plans online that I would love to buy one day. I’m not worried about it yet because well I don’t have the land yet. That would make a great home studio.
Exquisite! Great window.
What did you use to “treat” the timber, if you don’t mind?
Hi Michael, All i used was standard creosote over all the wood but gave the underground parts a few coats as well as wrapping in polyythene.
Thx for the effort in filming this. Great inspiration. 👍🏼
Sawasdee krap P'Stefan & P'Mai =) I came across your channel when I was looking for videos about building a dojo. Just watched that video but comments are turned off for that video. What you have built is absolutely stunning! Lots of hard work and patience, impressive you all did this on your own as well. Where are you located? Is it in Europe or somewhere else? Again, bravo on the gorgeous dojo, looks like something I would like to build in my own garden as well.
Thank you for the nice comments, We are in leicester England. I shall check video settings and comments tab. thanks again. Stefan
Beautiful upload, you've inspired me!❤
This is so beautiful and awesome that yu built it with your build hands
Thank you, the full version is here ua-cam.com/video/zD9HTN7Ll3g/v-deo.html and also the Torri build ua-cam.com/video/18A0vlU9Ha4/v-deo.html
No comments? Can't let that be. Nice video of the water Taxi service and obviously the hotel was very nice. Great View too! Me and my wife will be there on May 4th for 11 days! We have rented an apartment with a fantastic terrace that overlooks a very busy Campo just a few blocks from where you were staying! Amazing place. Be well!
Found this in a folder copied from an old pc recently, so glad i did as some at the class are now learning this two man form and i can re edit it now for teaching purposes.
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing. I would love to build this. Now I have more ideas. Much appreciated.
Thank you Philip, If you want to see the full build its here ua-cam.com/video/FJKO7aL6_wI/v-deo.html
Bonjour avec vos entraînements collectifs vous me faites revivre mes plus belles passions comme éducateur des arts martiaux-puisque moi-même j'organisais ce genre de regroupement en plein air - Merci
Thank you

Very encouraging
Thank you
What was the size of the dojo?
Hi, Inside dimensions are 3.5m * 6m front part in front of the doors about 1.5m * 8m
awesome
Nice bonding for a karateka couple.
So beautiful. I am 25 and I, too, will have my own Dojo one day. And you have inspired me to learn the skills necessary to do it myself. The 30minute video showing the whole journey makes me cry and laugh, thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏾
Thank you
Great video and simple design for a Torii. This will be very useful for me to begin my Japanese garden project. Have emailed you to request measurements. Thank you.
Thank you Stephan for sharing. Fantastic achievement. Reallly enjoyed watching. Osu!
Thanks Andy has been a lot of work, i didn’t think it was going to take as long as it did though..lol you will have to drop round sometime to take a good look, your welcome anytime. Osu
@@stefanmai5703 would be honoured 🥋
Hi Stephan. I like your idea here and the video. How did finally fix the top section (Kasagi and Shimagi) and the Gakuzuka (small centre piece) please?
Hi Stefan, this is the most simple Torii gate that people can make at home as DIY. Would you please give me shopping and cutting list please. Thank you for yr response.
Hi Lolita thanks for comment i have a pdf file with drawing and timber size if you send me an email stefanuk@aol.com i will reply with it. I cant put any attachment in this reply.
That table your standing prob not best idea to give out but cool work tho
😍 WOW! Amazing job! Very impressive! Thanks for posting!
Absolutely beautiful! Can I hire you to do this for me please!!! I live in Sacramento!
Thank you, I live in the UK so a little far for me :). wished we had your weather.
I miss Robin 😭😭😭
did you use 4x4 or 6x6 for the main pillars (hashira) ?
They were 6 * 2inch. 2 for each side so pillars were 6 *4 inch
Beatifull, I wish to have the skills to do it like that, enjoy it in your garden.
Thank you
So beautiful! Sure wish there was more. Do you have photos, plans or any details you can add?
Hi Susan, Thank you for your kind remarks. I dont have any plans as such only some sketches i used to working out materials. Stefan, I loved looking at the video snippets you have posted and am looking forward to seeing the one you are currently editing on the entire dojo build. Your artistic abilities and ingenuity blend beautifully. Thank you for sharing them with the UA-cam community. Susan P.S. The video of the gate build was great.
