When i was kid, i bought Firefly as it was my first GI joe action figure, Firefly was the coolest & my favourite. Its so cool to see Firefly as come so far from 80's style to this new version, but for me old retro GI joe will always be my favourite...

u got the drone attached the other side than it should be. and the drone controller can be slot/placed inside the (inner) bagpack. anyway, again, coolest review and makes everyone to kept it both!

Much like Outback was released in 2 "ages", these 2 are the same deal. Cobra Island Firefly = Old Firefly. With scars and needs more armor. Modern tech and drone. 2023 Firefly = Young Firefly. no scars. minimum armor. Old tech drone.

New Firefly FTW! Def any gi joe figure that gives me a 80's vibe is what i need!

The pad in the first version of Firefly can be stored in the hallow part of his backpack.

The headsculpt on the 1st one is way better. My original Firefly has 2 different colored eyes. Check yours out..a lot of collectors are swapping headsculpts!

The fact that they drop the same figures with variations, makes me panic less about the first two years of figures i missed.

This is the closest thing we will get to a well articulated Sam fisher action figure

A travesty that all of the ball joints for the heads aren't all exactly the same across the line, let alone these two figures.

FYI on the Cobra Island FF, the pad stores in the interior (against his back) of the backpack. Awesome review, lucky to have yours so early.

The _COBRA Island_ Firefly came with a Nerf Mega Double Breach and the newst Firefly came with a Demro XF-7 Wasp submachine gun, Smith & Wesson M & P, (Military and Police,) inspired semi-automatic pistol.

I hated the original release. He deploys explosives; he doesn’t need the explosive vest. He is not going to wait around. And the padded vest hinders many torso articulation. Happy to have the original 80s design back.😊

Fyi The control for version 1 flying drone goes inside the backpack in the side with the peg That's what that indention is for

And I love the original design, he was one of my favorites- his little cell phone was awesome. Cobra Island FF seems based on a real person whereas newer FF appears to be softer- more inspired by the cartoon. Thanks for the video! 🙏🏽

I like the head on the 1st 1. I like everything else on the 2nd 1. It's not hard to customize the head to fit.

Both are cool. But I like the new Classic version
