@@gazzalfc7230 we were fine - did hear of a couple of dodgy bellies from other guests, but not actual sickness and diarrhoea - and they did say it was more the amount / different food / booze than thinking it was an actual bug. Hope you have a great time!

@@darrenburgess3081 Hey! Thanks for watching - I’m just finishing editing day 7, where I go into detail about the hotel, should be out this week. I did the same before going and honestly was relieved when we got there! It’s super clean, food is nice, beach is lovely, grounds are beautiful. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5* in terms of detail (I don’t mind a wobbly table and tired looking sun bed though) but we had a great time and hope you do too ☺️

We didn’t book through the travel agent - on the way to the beach there were about 10 people regularly gathered selling tours. The prices were roughly the same, but wanted to support locals. We didn’t have or hear of any problems booking directly ☺️

Going to Cabo Verde in September, first time

Hey! I did the same before we went, and was relieved when we got there. The grounds are lovely and relaxing, food is nice, it’s super clean. I know some people we spoke to there were disappointed with their room being a bit tatty, but ours was fine. Plenty of sun beds both at the beach and pool, and there’s a bar at the beach, but it does just serve soft drinks and beer. I hope you have a fabulous holiday, we did 🙂☀️

@@HazelAshleenAdventures we will stay at Riu Cabo Verde, it's the hotel next to Funana. This is our first time at Cape Verde, so i was collecting as much info as i could lol. For your first time editing, you did pretty good ( just missed the 6th video).

@@stephandevriesere3667 that’s where we wanted to stay, but got a really good deal with the Funana last minute - let me know how it is! Ah yes - I have 2 more to edit, the catamaran and overall review (who knew how long editing takes haha) Safe travels ☀️

@@HazelAshleenAdventures Hi Hazel, as promised a little update of our stay at Riu Cabo Verde. We just got back home and we already want to go back 😁. The hotel was really great, it was nice, quiet, clean, lovely people ( staff and guests ), good and a lot of food. Basicly it's not much different then Funana, just adults only. We have been on all the trips we could take and had a wonderfull time, i believe we have found our place to be after our pension (it will be in about 5 or 6 years). We already started to look for housing and found a few that looked interesting. We will go back next year and continue our quest for a house, and to have a great holiday ofcourse 😂😁. We have somebody on the island to help us with the search for a house coming year. He is a local called Victor, we met him in Santa Maria. He will keep us informed if something will come up.
